Disclaimer: If I did owe Digimon... this is exactly what would've happened..... except to a much more *DETAILED* extent.

"Leomon....." Those liquid diamonds ran down her face. Her head sank back down to her arms as she continued to cry. The doorbell rang. Slowly, she got up from the wooden floor and started to fasten her little green bow on to her hair, all the while wiping her soaked face. Then, she headed for the door. "Hey Juri," said a wet Takato, his hazel hair dripping with raindrops. Juri had not admitted it out loud, but she was beginning to become quite fond of the boy. "I brought you some food and I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk... or something like that," he managed to mutter out, and held up the basket of bread he was holding. Suddenly realizing that tears were beginning to trickle down her face again, the girl wiped them away again with her arm and smiled; smiled her fake smile. The loss of her real mother and Leomon... it was too much to bear. Things have gotten better.... but she had not fully climbed out of the abyss.

The rain drizzled on them as they walked on, no destination in mind. Two children walking down the road, no umbrella, no raincoat. The rain took no pity on them. Determined to start a conversation, Takato blurted out stupidly-
"I really like you, Juri," and choked after realizing what he had just said. But it was alrealy late. The words slowly begin to sink in, and she turned her head sideways to see Takato blushing madly, with a face red enough to paint seven sunsets.
"I mean... uh... your really nice and stuff and no matter what happened you were always there for me... yeah," he quickly added, trying to recover from his mistake, and hung his head in embarassment. They walked on, but he didn't notice the slight smile forming at the corners of Juri's soft lips.

They reached West Shinjuku Park. The rain, which had been showering them all this time, finally decided to take leave. Juri headed for the swing and wiped the raindrops off the seat, Takato following not far behind. She slowly got on and started swinging her legs, and he could not help but blush again. They swung, they talked. They laughed, they sighed. And there they stayed, quietly, and no one there to disturb their peaceful shell. The sun was beginning to emerge from the grey blanket above their heads. "Takato?" He turned his head. She looked down and began to smile her weak smile again; her weak, but real and sincere smile. "Thank you..." "... Anytime, Juri... anytime."
