You hear a knock at the door. You put down your phone, get off the couch, and go to answer it. 'Maybe Lily got home early from her friend's house,' you think as you open the door. It's not Lily, but Adrian. "Oh, hey, Adrian," you say casually. "What's up?"

"Hello, Remy," Adrian answers back. "Care to go with me on a walk?" He asks hopefully.

"Now?" You ask, surprised. You glance out a window behind you. It's dark out. "You weren't afraid to go out in the dark that first day," he protests. "Besides, I can't exactly go out in the day anymore. Come on, it's a beautiful night," he coaxes.

"I guess I can't say "no" to that," you say jokingly. You get your house keys. "You couldn't," Adrian says lightly, seeming happy that you caved in.

"Alright," you say, closing the front door. "Where to?"

"How about the park?" He suggests.

"Perfect." Both of you walk out your apartment building. The cool night air hits you as soon as you step out. You shiver. "It's a little cold out, isn't it?" You comment. Adrian looks at you, surprised. "You're cold?" He asks.

"A little," you admit. He wraps one arm around your waist and pulls you closer as you keep walking. "Better?" He questions.

"Much," you tell him. He chuckles. At last you reach the park. You look at Adrian. He looks solemn. "You're probably never going to see the park in the day again, right?" You ask softly.

"That's right," he sighs. The both of you walk past the gates into the park. The park is mostly empty, since it's nighttime. "Tell me something, Adrian," you begin.

"Yes?" He responds without looking at you.

"What's it like living forever?" You ask curiously. Adrian winces. There is silence for a moment before he answers. "It's quite disheartening," he says, finally looking at you. "People you love come and go, and you always end up…" he trails off.

"Alone," you finish for him. He nods. You realize something. Your heart sinks. "So when I….die…..you'll end up alone again…?" You manage. Shocked silence. 'Adrian hadn't thought of this either,' you think sadly. You look up at him. He's looking off into the distance, shadows hiding his face from you. "Yes," he croaks out.

"Oh," is all you can say. The two of you continue walking. The atmosphere feels depressed. Then you get an idea. "Adrian," you hear yourself say, "you can Turn me." Adrian whips his head around, his eyes wide, his gaze fierce. "No, Remy," he says quickly. "I can't put you through that. I wouldn't forgive myself if you became Feral, and I won't let you become alone, watching your loved ones come and go," he finishes weakly.

"But I trust you," you protest. "And I won't be alone. I'll have Lily, Kamilah, Jax, and--" you take a breath "--you." Both of you arrive at the entrance of the park again. The path you had taken was a loop. You hadn't even noticed the time go by. "I'll think about it," Adrian finally says. You hug him.

"Take as much time as you need," you whisper. He kisses the top of your head. "Thank you, Remy," he says. You smile at him.

-Hi guys. I just realized that I never mentioned that I write these stories the way Choices does! Well, now you know. The character you read this as is (duh) Remy. Just in case you didn't already know! Ok, bye!
