A/N: So McAbby is another one of my favorite couples. (: Obviously or I wouldn't be making a drabble one-shot of them hehe. Okay well this one is really…odd? Compared to what I've written. But that's the joys of experimenting. Haha. Tell me what you think! Review, Favorite, whatever floats your boats! (:
"In sickness and in health, till death do you part?" -Traditional Vows? (haha)
McGee
He sat in his desk trying to focus at the task at hand. It was hard to with her in the hospital. He wanted to be with her. Even though he knew what she had was harmless, he wanted to sit by her and hold her close.
Gibbs walked into the bullpen and saw the young agent's dilemma. He remembered with Shannon he'd felt the same every time a small cold had hit her. A smile was trying to peek through, "McGee."
McGee jumped and stood quickly, "yes boss? What do you need boss?"
"Go. Go see her." He let the small smile appear, "that's an order."
McGee relaxed, "thank you boss." He grabbed his jacket and keys. Then he quickly left the bullpen and went to the elevator. He was going to see his love. Take care of her too. And hold her. It couldn't get much better than this.
Abby
She laid in the bed, bored, not feeling too well, and wanting him. She wanted to feel his arms around her. Have his lips touch her forehead in the gentle quick kisses she'd come to expect and love. He was a sweetheart, gentleman, and her dream come true. Everything she had asked for in a guy. In return, she was everything he had asked for in a girl.
"Abby, you have a visitor." A doctor came into the room and looked at the young patient.
Abby's eyes lit up as she watched Him walk into the room. He was there! He came to her! He knew she needed Him. He loved her. That was all she asked for. "Timmy." Her voice was hoarse. The small virus had done its job in hurting her throat enough to make it hard to talk loudly.
"Abs." McGee's face lit up with a smile as he walked over to the woman he loved. "How you feeling?"
"As good as you can feel?" She joked lightly. She sat up and moved the bed to a sitting position to support herself.
McGee chuckled and walked over. He wrapped his arms around her body gently. "Good to know the virus didn't kill your humor."
Abby smiled feeling his arms around her. She wanted to stay in this moment forever. "Oh yes. At least I have one thing still. Cause right now I don't look so…pretty."
"You look absolutely gorgeous." McGee kissed her unmake-upped face. Small gentle butterfly like kisses landed on her forehead, her nose, her cheeks, and then finally her lips.
"Thank you Timmy." She whispered, her cheeks turning a rosy pink color.
It looked so odd on her face McGee couldn't help but smile and laugh lightly. "Your welcome Abigail." He kissed her cheeks again gently.
"How's work?" She moved over enough for McGee to sit beside her.
McGee sat by her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close so they had enough room. "Alright. I couldn't concentrate and Gibbs let me come here."
Abby smiled. "Good Gibbs." She rested her head on his shoulder. "He deserves a good reward."
"More coffee?" McGee chuckled.
Abby laughed her sweet sounding laugh McGee loved. "Yes. Coffee."
McGee smiled and took her left hand into his hand. He felt the ring that rested on her finger that was against his and smiled even more. She was his. Forever. Not even one tiny virus would separate them. They were joined at the hearts forever. In sickness and in health.
He kissed the top of her black hair and smiled, knowing he'd get to hold her like this for the rest of his life. His wife. And the love of his life.
Abby smiled and fell into a peaceful sleep. She knew she was safe in his arms, and that nothing would happen. Her husband always knew how to take care of her. He was her nerd. Her computer geek. That was the way it was going to stay. Forever.
