Japan assumed that it was some wierd American holiday, party, or festival that Alfred had dragged him over for.

He had followed his lover all through the festival, and rode on all of the rides that Alfred had said that they 'had' to go on.

Alfred liked all of the semi-dangerous thrill rides that Kiku hated; he never felt safe on them.

Right now, though, they were sitting on a hill waiting for the fireworks to start.

Japan was pulled against his boy friend's side, and America was munching on Pocky; the only Japanese thing that Kiku had seen so far, and he'd brought it!

The loud and colorful spectacle of light known simply as 'Fireworks' started, though Japan grew bored of them after a while; he stared at his boy friend instead of at them.

"Kiku, look!" Alfred nudged his boy friend, and pointed up at the sky.

Japan looked up towards the fireworks, and his breath got caught in his throat; the fireworks spelled out, 'Will You Marry Me, Kiku?'

Japan couldn't look away from the brief display of light.

"Will you?" Alfred asked after a while; his voice sounded both nervous and excited.

Kiku tore his gaze away from the sky, and stared up in to his boy friend's blue eyes.

"Y-yes." Kiku eventually answered; his cheeks had turned pink from his blushing.

"Thank you!" Squealed Alfred, and he tackle-hugged his new fiance.

It shouldn't have surprised Kiku that his boy friend would propose in the most over the top way possible.

America slid a ring on to Kiku's finger; the ring's band was a dark blue, and it held a large white diamond on top of it. Kiku & Alfred was engraved on the inside of the ring.

Alfred had never been happier than that moment, and Kiku was pleasantly surprised; he had never imagined anything like this ever happening when he had been in isolation.
