Books lined the walls, inviting benches were set all around the room, yet there was something missing the bookseller realised immediately. The bookstore was completely devoid of people.
She sighed and slumped on the counter. It seemed to her that no one else shared her love of knowledge. Well, either that, or the people haven't thought to check the new bookstore out. She hoped for the latter. The woman traced a circle on the wood with her fingernail. Maybe Constantinople was a mistake, like Mama had said. As she closed the circle, she heard the door open.
Finally, she thought, standing straight. A man entered, dressed in dark colours, which was unusual in the heat. His features were shrouded by his hood, and there was a certain air about him the shopkeeper couldn't place. He looked at her, and the woman was struck by the intensity of his bright eyes, strange in such an old face.
"Merhaba, bay. How can I help you today?" she asked, a little intimidated.
"You look foreign." He said to her out of the blue, disregarding her question. She smiled. "Evet, I am from Venice. But is there something you'd like?"
He continued to stare at her, before answering. "No, not at the moment. But I might come sometime in the future."
"Well, I hope you come soon." She grimaced inwardly. How awkward, she thought.
"Goodbye..." He looked at her pointedly.
"Sofia Sorto, sir."
"Goodbye, Signorina Sorto." He smiled at the surprise on her face."I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. And I think we will see each other very soon." He left as abruptly as he had come.
The Venetian returned to tracing, a ghost of a smile on her lips. For some reason, she was looking forward to meeting the strange, mysterious Italian again. He seemed to be hiding something behind those piercing eyes.
She grinned as she completed the circle a second time and the door opened for another costumer. And I'm going to uncover it, whatever he's hiding.
A/N: FAIL. FAIL. FAIL. FAIL. FAIL.
Ugh, why did I post this? I heard about Ezio's new lady love from the new game Revelations and decided to imagine how it'd be like. And man, did I fail. I didn't research anything, aside from the translations (Google Translate, I love you, and I am unashamed- well, maybe a little ashamed) and it's messy and not proofread and THE FREAKING A/N IS ALMOST THE SAME SIZE AS THE STORY!
*Deep breath* Sorry, guys. Just ignore that. I hope you actually LIKED the story above the thing I told you to ignore, and please Read and Review. I need some right now -_-
