which means "Clones"

"I wonder what it'd be like to be a clone," Dearka mused.

"I'd bet it's probably boring . . . as in the same," Athrun said.

"Why the hell does it matter?! And of course it's the same. You'd be a clone. That's the point," Yzak, well, pointed out.

"I don't think that's always true," Kira said thoughtfully. The other three looked at him as if he were stupid. Which, to them, maybe he was.

"It's just the old nature versus nurture debate. Environment versus genetics," Kira explained.

"Obviously, genetics is more important," Yzak stated coldly, "All Coordinators know that."

"I meant . . . well, like twins or stuff. Like Cagalli and I; we were raised apart—"

"So she's a lot smarter than you?" Athrun teased.

"You idiot! It's genetics that counts. You were an experimental Coordinator and she wasn't. That's why you're so dumb; your geneticists made some mistakes." Yzak looked triumphant and the other first generation ZAFT guys nodded in agreement. After all, as Coordinators, they all really had a responsibility to defend the nature side of the arguement.

"But you two are twins . . . and even that's debatable. I was talking about clones. That's different," Dearka emphasized.

"Did you know Mu's father cloned himself?" Kira asked suddenly.

"No way! That's really illegal," Dearka replied, "Although I'd like to talk to him. Wait, Lt. Flaga isn't the clone, is he?"

"No."

"Oh."

Pause.

"But Creuset was."

"WHAAT?!!" Yzak shouted, making Athrun jump.

"And Rey."

"WHAAT?!!" Yzak repeated. Athrun remained where he was.

"And they were very different," Kira finished matter-of-factly as if Yzak had never interrupted him.

"How the hell could you know?! They both died before you snuck into ZAFT, Strike!" Yzak accused.

"Oh. I'm telepathic," he said as if it explained everything. "We talked during battles."

The other three exchanged looks.

"Well, I guess that proves your theory, Yzak," Dearka said, beginning to smile.

"Yeah," Athrun continued, "Kira was definitely a failed experiment."
