So I've been getting into poetry lately, and I discovered that Doctor Who, and the TARDIS in particular, inspire me the most. So here's a little poem about Amy discovering the TARDIS, then flying off to different adventures with the Doctor. ^.^
Warm orange light greets wondering eyes
The hard blue shell proves unmoving
Yet the whole thing is impossibly exciting.
Dreams of unbelievable planets crowd her mind
The myriads of buttons get pushed and spun
As the floor shakes and whirls,
And the tiny box is hurled through impossible blue and orange.
A thunk and whirr fill the air
And a brand new sky greets her eyes
New grass, new people, new possibilities
Sprinting feet fly off the ground and slam onto the alien earth
Wind flies through fluttering hair
The oncoming danger evaporates as soon as they get through the creaky door
And they fly off to find a new adventure and maybe a fez.
I'd love to hear what you think in a review!
