Black Spots In His Vision
By: Sinnamon Spider
If that accursed spot hadn't reappeared, Jack didn't know how far his encounter with Elizabeth would have gone.
It had started out innocently enough – on her part, at least, because Jack knew that nothing he did could ever be construed as innocent – with light banter. He had felt the tension that coursed between them ever since he had pulled her from the ocean at Port Royal. He could see it in the way she looked at him when she thought he wasn't looking. He could hear it in the way she said his name, caressing the word with her tongue. He could feel it in the way she pressed into him whenever their bodies made contact.
He could feel it now, as his hand stroked along the warm silken plane of her smooth cheek, as her hips pushed against his, as her hand held his other one teasingly out of reach.
She was murmuring something about her honour, which he was about to sorely compromise. He slipped his hand away from her face, but a burning sensation on the skin drew his attention away from the lush lips that parted in anticipation for his touch.
He glanced at his hand – and cringed. The skin bubbled viciously, turning black and diseased-looking. He released her abruptly, barely noticing as she closed herself off again.
"I'm proud of you, Jack," she said softly, but her voice was heavy with disappointment. She slipped away, safe from his ravishing.
He had cursed Jones more heartily for that loss than anything he had ever cursed about before.
And now, as he watched her run away from him, the manacle tight around his wrist, leaving him chained solidly to the mast, he knew that death was imminent.
Elizabeth Swann had a poisonous kiss.
