Disclaimer: Legolas is not mine, nor ever will be. I simply borrowed him for something that I feel that he would like to do considering all that has happened over the past two years. Reviews are welcomed, constructive criticism appreciated. Flames will be ignored. -----

The forest was quiet as Legolas paced silently over the leaf-strewn soil, using all his elvish stealth and skill. In his hands he cradled the unfamiliar mechanism of this new weapon. At his side paced Kazra, her hands also holding the same weapon as him, although she carried others across her back, and hanging from her belt.

Are you sure this will work? Legolas asked, feeling the strangeness of the mind link that Kazra had implanted in his mind.

Of course. This is a completely different world, and the Sue rules don't apply here. I got a friend of mine to fix it up. And don't worry about bumping into any of the inhabitants of this world, that's sorted as well.

Legolas smiled a grim smile, and chambered the first round into his weapon as Kazra had shown him. He glanced down at the grass, and spotted the tracks of their quarry. He waved a hand to get Kazra's attention, and pointed at the bent stems of grass. Kazra nodded, and stepped away from Legolas, as they started to stalk.

Forgetting any of his reservations about this whole idea, Legolas concentrated on what he had to do.

From ahead, in a small clearing, came the faint sounds of someone singing, or rather, trying to sing.

"Never made it as a wise man

Couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing."

Kazra winced. Seems like someone doesn't understand the rules of this. she muttered mentally. And she's forgotten that her beautiful singing voice doesn't work. Mind you, that's to our advantage. We could have come in here with a brass band and her screeching would have covered it.

Legolas snickered. Any way we can get her from a distance? he asked I want to see the look on her face when out of nowhere she's hit.

Of course my friend. Kazra said, and reached over and unhooked a sniper rifle from her shoulder, before proffering it to Legolas.

Legolas lay down on the ground, and adjusted the scope.

The Sue that he was targeting sat on the edge of a pond, her pale pink elven gown looking rather tattered and muddy around the hem.. Her hair fell in lank and greasy strands around her face, looking as though she had been dragged through a hedge backwards, and had a family of starlings nesting in it.

Legolas snickered again at her appearance, and carefully took aim. Deliberately, he squeezed the trigger.

A blossom of lime green spread over the front of the Sue's dress, and she squealed, falling backwards into the pond.

Legolas let out a cheer, and hi-5'ed Kazra, who was also grinning merrily.

And now, we try and find the next one, no? he asked

We certainly do my friend. Kazra assured him.
