This is my first Castle/NCIS crossover. This was inspired by the episode "Vampire Weekend." There was a line about sex in a coffin, and this is what came of that. There's one thing you should know before you read this. In this story, Abby lived in New York for a while and knew the victim. That's it. Anyway, enjoy!
Kevin Ryan really didn't want to do this. He'd been procrastinating for the past ten minuets, he was so nervous. He knew he needed the invite to the coven for the case, but he really didn't want to go back to that time. Esposito and Castle had been giving him nothing but grief and that wasn't really and encouragement.
Finally, he dialed her new number, the one with the D.C. area code.
"Abby Scuito, NCIS Forensics," the perky voice said. He almost forgot how much of a contradiction this happy Goth was.
"Hey, Abby, it's Kevin Ryan, I-" he was cut off form the force that was the gothic forensic specialist.
"Hi, Kevin, it's so good to hear from you! Are you still working narcotics?"
"No, I'm, uh, working homicide, now. I take it that you're still working for NCIS?"
"Yeah, it's great! So, what's new?" There was a slurping sound on the other end. 'Caf-Pow!,' Ryan thought.
"I, uh, actually need a favor. Are you still apart of that coven here in New York?"
"Yeah, but I should probably leave and find a new one, now that I live in D.C. and not in New York. Why, what do you need?"
"Our victim, Crow, he was apart of the coven, and we need an invite to interview our suspect."
"Oh my God, Crow's dead? I know you didn't know him but he was such a sweet kid. He was also an amazing artist. I should've talked to Gibbs about hiring him as a sketch artist. Anyway, yeah, I'll get you in"
Ryan gave an involuntary smile, then noticed that Castle and Esposito were smirking at him, and he quickly schooled his features. "Thanks, Abby," he said to his ex-girlfriend.
"No problem. Oh, and Kev? You ever change your mind about the coffin, the offer still stands."
Ryan gulped, his eyes going wide as he stuttered out a response before hanging up the phone. The writer and Hispanic detective couldn't stop laughing at the look on his face.
This was gonna be a long case.
So, what did you think? Leave a review!
