I do not own Ace Attorney or any of the characters. Will and his mother are OCs.

This is just another holiday fanfic. Short, and sweet.

Happy holidays.

---------

I was walking down the street and my scarf seemed to warm to me. My hands were full with presents for the holidays. God knows why I waited until the last minute and scrammed to buy people presents. I felt like going before, but then I kept making excuses- piece of crap kind of excuses- like I need to clean the dishes, or I need to work and stuff. Now- I feel quite relieved that it's over with. They weren't wrapped- but at this point- I didn't give two shits.

Luckily, three of the people I bought for were walking down the same street as I. I waved to them and they noticed me. I wonder how pitiful I looked.

"Hey Ema! What's in those bags?" Trucy knows what. She's smart- she knows that these bags are from department stores they like.

"Here." I opened one of them and gave her a cane. She probably already had one of them, but it didn't hurt to try.

"Thanks! See, daddy! You don't need to buy it for me now!" I handed Justice a recording system. He likes to shout, right?

"Thank you!" He came forward and gave me a nice, long hug. I haven't had one of those in a long time.
"Mr. Wright! Here!" I was the most excited with him. I had to go through great troubles to get it.

"A… Badger?" He looked confused. I was a little shocked- wouldn't he remember it? Then, his face had the expression as if he were in a state of reminiscence.

"Now I remember. Thanks." I smiled.

"You know, Lana?" Does he remember her?
"Yeah?"

"She felt bad that she couldn't get you anything."

"It's okay. I didn't get her anything."

"Well, I'll see you around." He waved.

"Yeah. Take it easy." I kept walking- until I saw another person I had bought for.

"Ema!"

"Will!" His mother smiled.

"Hey. I got you something." He handed me a small home-made baratte.

"Thank you! Here." I handed him an action figure in a box.

"Thanks!" He ran ahead.

"Merry holidays."

"Happy holidays to you, too." I walked on, and so on until I had reached my work building. I tiredly went up the steps to the whatever the hell it was floor. Oh, wait. There was an elevator. Too late now.

I stopped by Gavin's office. Asshole.

"Here." I opened the door as fast as I closed it, and threw something in there. Does he really deserve anything?

"Thanks!" His muffled voice was expected. I had bought him the most meaningful thing- the thing he really deserved.

A box full of coal.
