I got bored and wrote a short thing.
Purple met blue as their eyes connected under the light of the stars, and even though the stars weren't the real ones, it was moments like this when that didn't matter. All that mattered was the two of them as they sat under the delicate lights and each held thoughts about the other.
A gentle breeze rolled up the hill towards towards them, blowing a few of the girl's silver strands out of place. She barely noticed this as her attention was elsewhere, but her male companion reached over and brushed them back to the side. The corners of her mouth were pulled upwards at his actions, and her expression did not go unnoticed.
"Yin, how long have you been able to do that?"
Her smile only broadened at his reaction and she watched as confusion spread over his features, "Not too long. But I've been practicing. For you." Even though her voice remained in a monotone, Yin's true feelings bled out through her eyes. These feelings were clearly meant for the boy she was speaking with, and he knew it.
Her right hand cupped his face gently, and his expression rapidly changed to mimick hers as he placed his hand over hers, "And you didn't think to tell me about this because..."
"Because, Hei, it wouldn't be a suprise then." Yin wrapped her free arm around his neck and pulled him down to her height, and in that moment, they both understood what was happening and what was supposed to happen. Their lips pressed together gently before they pulled away, processing what they had just done.
Yin smiled once again, but it was replaced by a look of dread as she glanced over Hei's shoulder and spotted it. That thing. The humanoid spectre.
X-X-X-X-X
Yin shot up in bed, her heart going too fast as she tried to calm herself. She shouldn't be feeling like this because of a dream. She shouldn't feel anything. She shouldn't dream.
A hand went up to feel the contours of her cheek, but it was normal. No smiling. No emotion. The girl felt oddly saddened by this, but she was unsure of why and how.
Yin got to her feet and walked into the bathroom that was attached to the room that she and Hei had within their hotel. She rinsed her face with the cool water from the tap and slowly made her way back under the covers.
It was dark in the room, so she didn't notice the humanoid spectre that was there when she initially awoke. This also meant that she didn't notice it as it gazed at her while she slept.
