~Before~

Jude couldn't avoid it. Like the ever comming sea to the shore IT always came. Her parents would always smile as she kissed them, their soft jokes leaving a soothing trail she could follow. The comfort of the well lit room accompanied by the fading droning flicker of the t.v. and some late night sitcom. She slowly padded down the hallway, quickly switching on the lights as a pathetic attempt to drive away some unseen demon. A low chime would bellow from the grandfather clock down stairs signaling the inevable. Now the only sounds were the steps of her quiet foot fall accompianed with the occasinal creaks of the house dancing together with the wind to a shrill shreaking. She passed the bathroom she shared the messy interior showing even in the blackest of shadows. Sadie's room stood untouched by the outside world but just as the unseen occupant had left it waiting for it's untold return;a memorium and place holder in her dad had left and her mom had remarried to 'Jeff' that was supressed a shudder at the mention of his she quivered before her own door frame towering in the dark with an fimilar invisable malice. Her fingers still trembled lightly as she switched on the light drawing out a slow entrance and shut the door sealing herself in her nightly tomb. She discarded her clothes, grabbing pajamas she'd thrown in her morning's haste. The tall bed made simply yet lavishly beckoned calling out to soothe her daily exhaustion;but she resisted the temptation slightly always doting on a meaning task as a means of procrastination. When atlast she could find no more distractions she climbed upon the bed and slowly reached for the light. The darkness quickly lept upon her suffocating her and drowning her in a deep desolation. The only light was the pale glow, faintly cast upon the seen from the moon. Her eyes timidly lept to the closet slightly ajar deepend with think ovebearing shadows. She tossed and turned before lying still and falling victim to the supressed memories, mistakes and harsh lies of her own sick reality. Unheard footsteps ....stolen innocence....The monsters under her bed.
