A/N: This is response to a LJ writing challenge, prompted by the word Change. I've played a game or two of this, that have ended kind of like this.

Megan Wheeler sat with Mike Logan, Alex Eames, and Bobby Goren. They were sharing a few too many drinks after work. The conversation was becoming a bit scattered. Somewhere along the line they had regressed to a college student mentality and devolved into played a bastardized version of truth. Someone would bring up a question, others would have to answer, and if the answer was a lie that person would take the shot. Though, sometimes the truth was stated in such a way, that everyone raised their glass in salute and simply drank to the truth.

"Ok, Ok, I've got one." Megan smiled. "Name one thing you'd change about yourself." Megan smiled. She looked at Alex, who was sitting immediately to her left.

"I think I'd change my drink order." Alex smiled, not especially feeling like revealing any great truth about herself. The truth was, she knew that after tonight, she wouldn't be drinking tequila again for a very, very long time.

"You can change your drink order after you take that shot for giving such a lame answer." Megan pushed the shot closer to Alex and stared at her until she drank it down. Next, Megan looked at Mike.

"I think I'd change the fact that I punched Crossley. Or maybe, that I punched him in front of so many people." Mike admitted.

Megan tilted her shot in Mike's direction and drank to that truth. Mike was good police, and that move had sent his career into reverse.

"What about you Bobby?" Megan turned and looked at Bobby. Megan was thinking that Bobby had probably had enough. He was getting increasingly introspective and maudlin. As she watched him deliberate over his response, she became a little nervous about his answer.

"My partner." Bobby stated. "Because she's never going to make Captain if she sticks with me." Bobby took the shot and was so drunk he almost fell out of his chair. Alex's mouth fell open a bit. Months had passed since the Leslie Le Zard arrest, but obviously what transpired was still lingering in Bobby's thoughts.

"Fuck you Goren." Alex stood. She was pissed, her voice a venomous whisper. He couldn't call her out on what she had said like a normal person, he had to be an ass and passively call her out in public.

"I'd bet you like that, wouldn't you?" Bobby replied, not intending the double entendre. What he meant was that she'd like to make Captain, not that she'd like to fuck him.

"I'd like to kick you in the ass is what I'd like to do." She grabbed her stuff and stormed off. Megan pushed back from the table and followed after Alex, but not before shooting a you're-such-a-dumbass expression in the general direction of Bobby.

"You certainly know how to fuck yourself, don't you Goren?" Logan smiled, and offered his drink to Goren, who immediately drank the shot. Truer words were never spoken.
