This is gonna develop into more Percy recovering, just give me some time

Enjoy:

Punch

Annabeth pushed her back into mine, offering somewhat of a calm moment in the heat of the battle. She was there, she was alive. We pushed off each other, attacking everything in front of us, twisting and turning, weaving in and out of each other, watching each other's backs. There's water around, which I summon, flying over us.

"PERCY!" Annabeth screams, she's been grabbed, stone dagger in her arm, a monster howling in surprise. It takes mere seconds for me to force him to let her go, torturing him with his own boiling blood as I focus my attention on Annabeth's arm, quickly healing the wound. She jumps up next to me, pulling me back to hers again.

Punch

Annabeth pushed her body against mine, her breath hot on my shoulder. I gripped her waist, moaning her name. She looked down, then up, making eye contact with something.

"Oh my god." She lent into my chest, giggling with laughter. "I can see us have sex. Oh my god, I can't." I pull out, turning to see my mirror facing us directly. I pull myself up, leaning against the bed head, Annabeth sitting on my legs still, laughing, her face still red and slightly damp with sweat.

"You're silly."

"Says the seaweed for brains. I looked so silly. My hair was moving so fast."

"Yeah, that's usually what happens when we have sex."

"You've never seen yourself have sex, I just did."

"At least you orgasmed."

"Hm?" She questioned. I narrow my eyes at her, my hands finding her waist again, stroking lines up and down her torso. "You suck."

"I believe it's the other way around, Annie." Annabeth pulled a shocked face, covering her mouth with her hand.

"How dare you suggest I would do such a thing!" She mimics a posh accent. "Oh shit, I just realised people could have heard us."

"What?"

"We're in a boat, Perce. Sound carries." Her face went all red again, this time in embarrassment, not enjoyment. She leant into me, shaking her head. "We can't go out. Oh, Christ I never thought that."

"Annie, we're 18, we can do whatever the fuck we want." She doesn't reply, only wrapping her arms around my neck, pulling her bare breasts into my chest.

"You're really uncomfortable to sit on."

"Maybe that's because you're too damned sexy."

Punch

The road in the city was well lit, for the most part. Annabeth's hand was wrapped around mine. I rub circles on her hand, not really chatting as we walk, but being together. Annabeth's hands are warm on mine, despite the world being freezing cold.

"My hands are cold." She mumbles, attempting to pull her hand from mine. I grip her hand tighter, bringing her hand into my jumper pocket. The night sky was beautiful above us, the stars offering some light for us to see as well.

"I love you, Annie," I mumble to her, she squeezes my hand in response.

"I love you more."

"I love you the most." I par. She responds by pulling them to a stop, kissing his cheek. "Still love you more."

Punch

Annabeth's hair tickled my chin, her hand gripping some fabric of my shirt, her head resting on my chest. We're under the stars, tonight. Something we do often. Watching the stars, drinking a bit, eating a luke-warm dinner. Being together in the clean, fresh air. She shifts, turning into me more, mumbling something I can't understand.

She's so calm, her breathing normal and calm. She's in a state that I rarely see her in. An utterly calm, and sleeping environment. She's perfect. Her beautiful blond hair. I drift off to sleep, falling in and out of calmness. In another moment, I wake up again, seeing Annabeth leaning on my chest, watching me sleep.

"Annie?"

"Hm? You're calm when you sleep. I never see you like this." She pulls down, head on my chest again. "What do you think we're going to do with our lives?"

"I'm not sure. Be together, get married someday, maybe have kids?"

"Gods no, I don't want kids. They freak me out." I chuckle at her, kissing her hair.

"I adore you, Annabeth."

"I adore you most." She plays. I push her off jokingly. "I cheated, yeah yeah. I love you the mosest, and the end of the universe and back."

"This is just getting cringey."

Punch

She was limp under me. Barely hanging back onto me. She wasn't touching me, but I was desperately gripping onto her. Annabeth was out, cold. She was out, and we were dangling dangerously over the pit. Her dead weight started to slip, her sliding from me holding her waist, to holding just under her armpit. I was getting seriously frantic right now. I looked down, trying to see the end, trying to see if there was an end. She blinked at me, eyes almost widening in surprise. I try to grip her tighter, hold her tightly to my body. She can't go. She can't go. She blacked out again, completely slipping from my grip. I let myself drop, gripping her wrist and frantically grabbing the wall again. I'm breathing too hard. That was too close. There's no other way.

"There's no other way," I shout up, Hazel screams in terror. Shouting refusels, Leo joining her in screaming, refusing to let us go, begging me to hold on. But she was slipping.

"Percy, let me go." Annabeth is awake again. "You can't pull me up, let me go." I look down at her. Her face is pale, and sweaty. I tighten my grip on her, attempting to pull her up closer to me, but fail.

"Never." I hiss. I look up at Nico, not wanting to tear my eyes away from her. I calm myself by reminding her myself that she is still there, and I am holding her tightly. "The other side, Nico! We'll see you there. Understand?" I turn down to her. Nico protests, yelling that they can't. "Lead them there! Promise me!"

"I will."

I look down at Annabeth again. Her face completely pale, and her slipping in and out of consciousness.

"We're staying together," I promise. Annabeth shakes her head, letting go of my wrist, but she doesn't fall. Tears are streaming down her face. "You're not getting away from me. Never again."

She shakes her head again; "as long as we're together."

I let go.

Punch

I pull Annabeth into me, kissing the top of her head. She pushes me softly, but slips her arms under my jacket, fiddling with the back of my shirt.

"Look at us, being so cute. Aren't we adorable." I tell her. She just laughs in response. We're in the middle of New York, in the middle of the day. Hundreds of people are bustling past us, pushing and shoving. We were both already on edge, Annabeth the spots something behind me. "Monster."

"We can't fight it here."

"Let's move to an alley. It will follow us." She pulls away, gripping my hand as we walk down the street, Annabeth checking behind us, muttering it's still there, and following us. We enter the alley, and turn to face the monster, it grinning evily at us.

"Who are you?" Annabeth asks, almost with a bored tone.

"Lamia. Annabeth Chase, and Persus Jackson. It's a pleasure to kill you." I almost laugh at her, but don't. Annabeth pulls out her dagger, positioning herself to stand next to me, her foot touching mine. I position myself as well, waiting for Lamia to attack.

The second she does, we move in sync, attacking her at every angle. Annabeth takes the forward stance, me backing her. Making sure she's safe. I pause, leaning against the wall, watching my girlfriend attack the monster.

"Percy! A little help here."

"Oh you're doing just fine babe." I tell her, joining in, slicing a bit to attack the monster, but still letting her lead.

"I hate that you watch me fight." She stabs the monster in front of us, it turning into golden dust. "It's weird." I shrug, hanging my arm over her shoulder again, walking out of the alley, joining the rush of people again.

Punch

The wind is so strong up on the ship. We're flying to the final battle. Annabeth in my arms, standing with her back to me, my arms wrapped around her. She's calm, breathing extremely softly and easily. She leans further into me.

"If I die–"

"No." I finish. Annabeth's head rubs against me, her shaking her head.

"If I die, don't kill yourself."

"You won't die." I promise her.

"I'm worried about it, Seaweed. I want to live forever with you, but I worry. I worry that if I die, you'll loose your shit. I woke up seeing you freaking out because I was sleeping, Perce."

"That was different." I mumble. Annabeth doesn't say anything. "I promise. You promise too."

"I promise." She pauses again. "I love you more than anything, okay? And if I don't die, you better take me out to an amazing dinner."

"I will." We continue standing, enjoying each others company. Annabeth hums calmly to herself, a song that we use to dance to. I kiss her golden head, and lets out a slight sigh, leaning her head on my shoulder. "Marry me."

"Percy." Is her only response.

"Is that a yes? I can take it as a yes…" I fade myself off. Annabeth turns herself to face me, sitting herself up on the ship, pulling me closer, wrapping her legs around me.

"I was hoping it would be more romantic."

"If you die, or if I die. I want to marry you, I want to spend forever with you."

"We have 15 minutes."

"Is that a yes?"

"Of course it's a yes. We'll make our marriage more official after. This counts yeah? Blah, blah blah, kiss the bride." I smile, pulling her closer, kissing her softly, and then pulling away, seeing her soft smile. "What a good husband you are."

Punch

A scream rips through my bones. I turn.

Annabeth is falling. Everything goes into slow motion. I run to her side, grabbing her tightly, holding her tightly to my chest. She lifts up a hand, mumbling words I don't hear. I pull her tighter to me, lifting her up, almost picking her up, screaming in pain.

"Remember? You promised. You promised." She mumbles over and over. I shake my head, watching her fade from me. Watching beautiful Annabeth fade completely. She goes limp in my arms, and everything goes black.

Punch

Athena holds my shoulders, shaking me softly. Annabeth's body is growing cold, and I can only pull her closer. I run my hands through her hair, over and over again. De-tangling her curls. I curl my fingers in her hair. I scream. Just scream. Pulling her head to mine, unable to cry.

"No." I mumble, "no, no, no, no, no, no, NO."

"Percy." Athena is kneeling next to me. Her hands are on my shoulders but I almost don't feel it. I shake my head, my head the only thing screaming. I'm picked up by hands I can't see.

Punch

Annabeth moves further and further away from me. I try to pull away from them pull back to her. I try to fight back, but everything fails me.

Punch

"Percy." Thalia is next to me, her voice close.

Punch

Annabeth is standing there, falling. I run, but she moves, falling further and further from me.

Punch

"PERCY!" I whip around. Thalia is standing there. "You're going to hurt yourself. Your hands are bleeding, you need to stop."

I punch the bag again, my knuckles stinging from the day before. I hiss to myself, shaking my hand, and continuing to punch over and over. The stinging distracting me from thinking about Annabeth. The thumbs of my fists on the bag are rhythmic, keeping me mostly calm.

The second I think of Annabeth, I leave the sparing room. Beginning a slow jog around the camp, now focusing on each of the thumbs of my feet hitting the ground.

Thump

Annabeth is screaming, saying I'm an idiot.

"YOU ARE GOING TO DIE! You are literally risking your life, Annabeth. Your fucking life. Do you even think about how this is going to affect me? Your dad, Athena?"

"Oh it's all about you, isn't it? This is my chance to prove myself. It's the Mark of Athena. You can do it with me." I resist the urge to gasp at her, thinning my eyes, almost glaring at her.

"You've proven yourself. You've proven yourself to me time and time again. You've proven yourself to your mother. Please just think about this for a second. You could die. You could easily die."

"IF I DON'T DO THIS THEN WE COULD LOSE THE WAR!"

"I DON'T CARE, IF YOU DIE. IF YOU DIE. For fuck's sake, Annie. Just think about this for a moment. Please. Please." I reach forward, trying to touch her arm but she pulls away.

"You have proven yourself, you are your father's only son. You are special."

"So are you."

"But I have to prove myself." She says this almost quietly but still holds so much venom. She's glaring at me, crossing her arms over her chest. "I can't prove myself if you're there. I need to prove myself alone."

"You don't need me for shit, where the fuck are you getting that idea?

"I need to prove myself." She repeats. I shake my head, running my hands through my air aggressively, refusing to make eye contact with her.

"No. No, you don't need to prove yourself." I tell her pacing the room, still gripping onto my hair. "Someone else can take it. Please let someone else take it. For me? Please?"

"Are you fucking kidding me? I'm not letting this down. I'm not dropping this shit. I'm not letting this chance die. I have to take it. Whether you like it or not. And if you can't take me doing this, then you. Then I don't know."

I stop dead, turning to her; "I just don't want you to die, is that too much to ask?"

"You left me." She jabs the air near my chest, but never touching me. We never touch each other in a fight. "You left me for months. I had no idea how to cope, Percy."

"Is this revenge for something I couldn't fucking control? It's not like I wanted to go, Annabeth." I spit her name like its poison. "It's not like I just went up to Hera and was like 'Heyyyyyy, wanna take me away from my girlfriend and wipe my memory? Thanks, babe!' Are you kidding? You're actually using this against me?"

"You have no idea how much I suffered. I thought you were dead. I'm trying to protect people, I'm trying to protect the world, Percy. You are standing in my way."

"Fine then!" I spit, throwing my hands in the air, she backs off, but still holds a stance, not giving me any ground. "Fucking ignore me, go off and die. See you in fucking hell, how's about that, huh? Do you ever think of anyone but yourself?"

"EXCUSE ME? I'm doing this FOR EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS WORLD." Our voices are slowly raising, both glaring at each other in anger. I clench and unclench my fists, shaking with frustration and anger. I try to divert the anger away from Annabeth, to my fists.

"Do you care about yourself? Your own wellbeing? You could die, Annie. YOU COULD FUCKING DIE."

"THEN I'LL HAVE DIED FOR A GOOD FUCKING CAUSE."

"THERE IS NEVER A GOOD ENOUGH REASON OR CAUSE FOR YOU TO DIE. NEVER. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR FUCKING MOTHER WANTS FROM YOU, OR SHIT YOU NEED TO PROVE. THERE IS NEVER, EVER A GOOD ENOUGH REASON."

"We could die at any moment, every quest we FUCKING GO ON. Are you listening to yourself?" There's a moment of silence, us both breathing heavily. I lean against the closed door.

"This one's different," I say softly.

"Because you're not there?"

"No, because for the first time, you don't know what's really happening. You just know you have to go somewhere and make it up as you go along. You're more than smart enough to complete this quest. I'm just worried, Annie. I'm really worried."

"I can do this."

"I know you can."

"Then believe in me."

"I do."

"Then let me go, without a fight."

"I can't do that." Annabeth sits down on the bed, not making eye contact with me. We sit in the room together. Not really enjoying each others company, but not wanting to leave.

Thump

I cough a bit, spitting out collecting spit, continuing to run as fast, and hard as I could. Determined not to let my mind slip into a memory, begging myself to be strong, and not fall for the worlds tricks of reminders.

But each step grows harder and harder, and my knees begin to burn, begging me to stop. I try to push, using the pain to motivated me. But it doesn't work.

I fall, Nico and Thalia screaming my name.
