The building was set to evacuate due to an emergency, and lord knows Tiger could not have been more surprised, and sort of grateful. Brooks was being his usual charming self you had to wonder how long it would take for Brooks to grow out of it If perfect was a label, Barnaby was sure not gonna patent that stuff if Tiger had anything to say about it. He had another side to him that s for sure anyhow. A bad side Tiger was so graced to see, and was trying very hard to get around forgetting. He couldn t even imagine Brooks giving him a smile like he gave every lady that came within two feet of his persona. Yes persona, and that is exactly what it is. Brooks isn t a sham, he s got a lot of good points on him, he s just not all he s cracked up to be in private. I guess that s something you come into knowledge of when you re in the territory of being his partner. No smiles, not once, not real life. This person sitting in front of Tiger ? Not real, not even one ounce of it well the ass was real. Yea probably the ass.
When the camera was on him though- He s marvelous like a machine, a android, but one with a ego complex so palpable you could choke on it, among other things tangible. Tiger got a sense of contempt thrown his way, and he was keen enough to pick up on it. The whole thing put him on edge, the guy was hard to read, It was rubbing Tigers style right off the map. It was just damn uncomfortable to be exposed to! Just when it crossed Tiger s inner thoughts that he had somehow fallen down a rabbit hole into a whole alter universe, (nothing could have been a more amusing analogy for the situation ) something-bad happened. (Or it could be something good, considering the circumstances ) Something that required a hero to be quick on his feet. Tiger was all about it, and so was Barnaby, so was Bunny, or Barnaby no just Bunny. It made this whole mess more seamless. Regardless, the kid had some serious skill, Tiger would have been blind to avoid being impressed on some level, it just didn t make up for the attitude. No again, that might have been the ass, but it wasn t like Tiger got any of that. In the short run so far Tiger didn t like the enigma that was Barnaby, or Bunny.
Put in a tight spot like that, and under pressure, Tiger didn t have it in him to mark the moment with a comment, but he did notice; quick movement, fast paced teamwork, some serious intelligence, and recklessness. Some things can be put on the back burner when you look at them with humorous grace, and Tiger was all about humor. Yea the bottom wire was a pretty good highlight to their partnership, at least so long as it was exploitable with every implication he could whip up and speaking of UP who KICKS a bomb? He calls Tiger reckless
Guess they had some things in common You think with all that vocabulary he could look up a word in the dictionary.
