Summary: Atlas is bored and keeps making refrences Jack doesn't understand.
Author's note: I don't know what I was thinking... atlas is a total geek in this..wtf This is terrible..don't let me write at 2 in the morning.
Jack gripped his wrench tighter as he entered the ' forest' known as Arcadia. The musty smell of trees filled the air. Jack heard the rumbles of Big Daddies and endless yapping of drugged up pychos.
The boy observed his surroundings- everything was green. It was... unusual. Jack had grown accustomed to Rapture's hard and sometimes uneven ground beneath his worn out Chuck Taylor's, not the softness of uncut grass. The scent of Arcadia was different as well. It smelled of blooming flowers and growing grass. While Rapture's atmosphere reeked of salt water, drying blood and rotting corpses.. Arcadia was better than Rapture now that Jack thought about it.
The brunette lowered his weapon and took in the beauty of Arcadia.
His radio suddenly crackled- snapping him out of his daze.
" Boyo, are you in Arcadia, yet? "
Jack hesitated before answering. He unhooked the small comunicator from his belt and held it close to his mouth.
" Yes.. I'm here, Atlas..."
He heard russling on the other end.
" You find Julie yet? "
" No.. not yet.."
Jack heard Atlas sigh.
" Atlas? Can I rest? I'm kinda tired. " The boy rubbed the back of his neck and yawned.
" Just a short break, gotit? We still gotta get Ryan. "
Jack could practically feel Atlas frown. He slowly made his way to a slightly broken park bench hidden between forgotten overgrown trees.
He laid down on the bench. He closed his eyes and became aware of how achey his body felt. His legs felt tired, and his back cracked when he stretched.
Jack was falling asleep- but Atlas began to..sing?
" B-B-B-Benny and the Jets... BENNY, BENNY- "
" Atlas? Are you alright? "
Jack furrowed his eyebrows and asked.
" Yes, I'm fine..get your rest. " The irishman assured him.
Not even three minutes passed before Atlas began again..
" Knock Knock."
Jack sighed, but played along. " Who's there? "
" Doctor. "
" Doctor, who? "
Atlas suddenly bursted out laughing.
" Ahh.. that joke never gets old!"
" I don't really understand that joke.. "
" Come on! Think Mcfly! "
Jake stared at the tree's leafs ,trying to think of a proper response.
" Hey, Ass- butt! Are you still there? "
" Ass...butt? " jack repeated and raised an eyebrow.
" Come on boyo.. at least amuse me.. Ah, by the way.. You ever ' buy a pengiun?'
Jack shook his head. " No, never."
" No? You should try it sometime. "
Jack could hear the laughter Atlas was holding back. Obviously, ' buying a penguin' ment something entirely different...
" Okay, forget it..I got another question for you, jackie.. "
" ... Alright, i'm listening.. " Jack winced at the odd nickname.
" ...Do you want to build a snowman? "
" There isn't any snow here, Atlas.. "
" Damn it kid.. I said amuse me. "
" I'm awfully tired.. " The boy put his hands behind his head and laid down.
Atlas grumbled something inaudible. " Fine, I'll help you rest, just listen. "
Jack hummed in agreement.
" Tonight.. I'm gonna have myself.. a real good time~ I feel a-li-li-li-live! And the world.. we'll turn it inside out, yeah- I'm floating around in ecstasy..so- "
" Don't. stop. me. nooooow."
Jack joined along with Atlas' singing.
" Heh, finally you get it.. "
jack grinned and continued to sing with Atlas.
