A/N- So this is just the start of my next fanfiction that I will continue doing after I have finished my Hunger Games story ONLY if this bit gets good reviews. So if you like it, and want to see updates, write a review. This is a Hunger Games/ Doctor Who (Tennant) crossover!

A rabbit hops past, catching my keen eye. I turn slowly, as not to scare it away, and raise my bow. Suddenly a crashing sound echoes through the woodland of the arena and Peeta's face appears. He never could step quietly.

"Could you get any louder?" I ask angrily, watching the rabbit flee into the dense scrub. I am trying to block out his response when I hear something else, a sound of legend. I have only heard stories, told by my father to Prim and I, passed down from generation to generation. He has travelled the Galaxies Beyond Panem, beyond everything I know. He never stops, he never stays. He never asks to be thanked. The noise stops, and so does my heart as I slowly turn around, not daring to breathe.

My heart sinks, for there is nothing but the same woodland there was minutes ago. I kick a pile of moss in frustration, letting out a string of vile swear words. Peeta shouts something, a warning to me, wielding a throwing knife at his hand. I spin back around, and my heart nearly leaps out of my chest with fright, for meters away from me, stands a man in a long brown coat, leaning against a tree.

"Stop!" I yell to Peeta, who is poised to throw his knife, which would most likely miss the man anyway. I approach him cautiously, my bow at the ready. I take in every inch of his body. His brown hair, hands in the pocket of his strange coat. Peeta begins to speak but I put my hand up to his mouth to stop him.

"Hi." He says to me, with a surprised look on his face."I'm the Doctor."

"Doctor Who?" Peeta asks, still looking unsure.

"Just the Doctor", he says vaguely, pulling some sort of device out of his coat. He points it up to the sky, and it makes a funny sound. "Now might I be able to ask exactly where we are?"

" The Arena.." I say. " How the hell did you even get in here?" His face darkens slightly.

"Which Arena?"

"Uh.. the Capitol one?"

" No no no no no", he says, pulling his hair and turning around. "this can't be happening."

"What can't? What are you talking about?" I say, getting suspicious.

"Your Katniss Everdeen, aren't you?" He says darkly.

"And this is Peeta." I reply bluntly, swinging my bow in his direction.

"This is not very good", he mumbles, walking in circles, fiddling with his tool. "This is very, very bad."

"Your THE Doctor, aren't you?" I gasp. "Where's your ship? Peeta! He can get us out of here!"

" No, no I can't, its not that simple. It's never that simple." He leans his head against a tree in deep thought.

" Why not?" I snap.

" I have just crashed into your world, the future. This used to be Earth, now its Panem. I have no idea how to get out, and If I don't, I will change the future. Neither of you will survive, the districts won't rebel, the Capitol won't be over thrown and the entire Mockingjay operation will burn." He says, catching his breath. "Oh, this is very, very bad."
