House Of My Mother

Teddy sat on the train on the way to Hogwarts. Most of the first years around him were fretting over which house they were going to be placed into. A boy with jet black hair sitting across from him kept repeating the same words over and over again.

"If I don't get into Slytherin mum and dad will disown me." Even Victorie was fretting about her placement.

"Dad will be so disappointed if I don't get into Gryffindor. A Weasley not in Gryffindor can you imagine it?" Teddy just held her hand and told her it was going to be ok. He was quite a gentleman even though he was only eleven years old. As the train moved further and further towards Hogwarts Teddy couldn't help but laugh inside. Uncle Harry had told him that the sorting hat takes your choice into consideration. Most of these people would be sorted into the house they wished to be in.

Teddy though, he didn't care. He knew people from all houses. Uncle Harry's friend Luna had been in Ravenclaw, house of the smart people as his grandmother put it. Luna had been a little crazy, but she was fun and Teddy loved to be around her.

His father had been in Gryffindor, house of the brave. Teddy hadn't known his father, but he knew he died admirably and for him; for something much bigger then himself. To be in the house of his father would be an honor.

Then there was his mum with her pink hair; a metamorphous just like him. She was in Hufflepuff; it really was a mixed house no matter what anyone said. They were loyal; smart, but also troublemakers too. From pictures Teddy could definitely tell his mum belonged there.

And then last but not least there was Slytherin. Most of the people he had met didn't like Slytherin because most Slytherin graduates turned out evil. But Teddy's grandma was in Slytherin. The woman that had raised him was just as good as his father, or mother, and being in Slytherin wouldn't be bad because he could say he took after his grandmother.

In the end though there had to be a choice and the sorting hat was placed on his head after the boy with black hair had been sorted into Slytherin.

"Hufflepuff!" The hat shouted and Teddy couldn't help, but beam. He was going to Hufflepuff just like his mother, and like her he definitely belonged there. He was a smart boy and a little crazy too, he was loyal to his family and his friends as well, but last he was a troublemaker sly like a snake. He had the Black blood and his grandmother saw it the most out of anyone. He sat at the Hufflepuff table smiling and making conversation with the other Hufflepuffs.

"Wait" one seventh year shouted "your Tonks' son!"

"Your also Lupins' son too, right?" The two seventh years looked down at him and Teddy nodded yes. He was proud of where he had come from and couldn't wait to start to make them proud of what he could do here at the school where they had all grown up.
