Welcome to my first-ever official collection of drabbles and oneshots! The topic and pairings vary, but there'll probably end up being a lot of Naminé x Riku. And I might have a very out of character moment and write a Sora x Riku every now and then…but it's unlikely. (Sorry yaoi fans, I love Riku too much.) Now that that's out of the way: I don't own Kingdom Hearts. It's too cool for me

1:Competition / Permanence

Kairi always noticed it. Since they were little, Riku and Sora had competed for everything from the last ice cream bar to the "Strongest on the Island" title.

"And I guess I'm the at the heart of it this time." She thought, brushing her hand over the sketch on the cave wall. She'd come to see it every day since they'd gotten back. Slipping away from the guys wasn't hard once they were sparring, after all.

"Sora…cares that much? That he wants to remain a part of my life, no matter what." Riku had told them about paopu fruit a long time ago, before the Heartless ruined everything. Riku. One of her best friends, who'd gone to the darkness, been consumed by it, and still suffered from it…for her.

And Sora, who'd fought through countless challenges to save her. Twice.

Her heart had gone to him when the Heartless attacked. That was supposed to mean that he was the person she trusted most, didn't it? Itsumo, forever, eternity, destiny. If she had to spend the rest of her life with someone, the choice was supposed to be obvious. Kairi's eyes were burning, and there were small damp spots appearing in the sand. It wasn't too much later that she felt arms wrap around her from behind.

"Kairi?" Sora's voice. "You've got time; nobody's forcing you into anything." She choked out a few more sobs, and a smooth hand brushed the tears away.

"It's okay." Riku's voice this time. "Go where the heart leads."

She didn't say anything. Just stood there, listening to their breathing echo around the cave.

She felt whole for the first time in a long time.

Never thought I'd write anything Kairi-centric, ever. Well, whatever. I hope you all enjoyed, more coming soon.
