Option A or Option B
It was July, just over a month before Ember was set to start her first year at Hogwarts. Her family had gone shopping early, to beat the rush. Ember's brother and father had gone to find something, leaving the two girls alone. Ember's mother was looking for both of her children's required schoolbooks when her daughter's eyes glazed over with a vision-her first waking vision ever. Usually, they came to her in dreams. Her mother walked off as the young girl was zoned out, and when her vision ended, she realized she was completely alone in a dark, unfamiliar location.
"M-Mum?" She asked, frightened. Laughter seemed to come from all around her.
"Your mummy isn't here, Ember. It's just you," the lights came on and she saw grown, masked men in a circle around her, "and us."
"I…they'll know I'm gone. They'll come looking…they'll find me." The men laughed again, and one came over to her, kneeling in front of her and removing his mask. He looked familiar, but she couldn't put a name to the face.
"They'll never find you here, Firefly…"
"H-How do you know…"
"We know all about you, Ember. You want to go home, don't you?" He didn't wait for her answer. "You have two options for that. Either you can be our entertainment now go home if and when we get tired of you…or you can go home tonight. Go home, tell nobody what happened, and go to school as planned…with one catch."
"Wh-what?" She asked, part of her knowing that she didn't want to know.
"You will provide…entertainment…for those in Slytherin who want it. When they want it. How they want it. Now choose one…option A or option B."
"I…what exactly do you mean…entertainment?" A smirk came onto the man's face.
"Would you like me to show you, Firefly?" He asked, reaching for her. Ember slid back quickly.
"N-No…I…option B," she said quietly. He looked at her angrily and stood.
"Take her back to the bookstore," he said to nobody in particular, and walked out. Ember blacked out then and when she woke back up, she was laying in the floor, right where she'd been before. It was the middle of the night, and the store was deserted. She sat up and leaned against the bookshelf, pulling her knees to her chest and beginning to sob.
