A/N: BAHAHA thanks to lumachu, who talks so much about this pairing it has become one of my OTPs. But yeah. This joke. I should go and be alone in a corner for writing something as sappy as this.
He was never the one to comfort. No-That was Gold's job. But Gold isn't here, is he? No. It was only him. And her. And she was crying. And he didn't know what to do.
Smile, cheer her up, came a voice in his head. He ignored it as he stepped over the fallen bicycle and towered above her. His hand awkwardly patted her head.
An "It's okay" escaped from his lips before he could stop himself. The girl raised her head and stared at him, her wet, brown eyes meeting his fiery red ones for the first time.
At once he regretted it.
He could never seem to be able to look directly into her eyes, and always found himself admiring her delicate little features instead. How her nose was perfectly turned up, how her small lips were the softest shade of pink, how her silky brown hair shone in the light, how- No. He had never thought like this before, so why was he thinking like that now? It's not like he liked her or anything, right? He looked away dejectedly. No. After all, she had feelings for Gold. He saw the way her eyes lit up, and how her lips would stretch into a grin when HE was around. But what Silver didn't know, was that Kotone thought of Gold as a brother. Yes, and how she had feelings for him. For SILVER. But he wasn't aware of this, and neither was she. So for now, he extended a hand to the now sniffling girl, smiled softly, and helped her up, picking up her bicycle in the process. He gripped the handlebars fiercely. For now, his feelings would remain a secret.
"Come on, I'll teach you."
