I forgot how I started writting this, it just came to me, I guess.. But it is a good thing that you don't see the original copy since it was all over the place, I had to read it to my friends or else it would be just a bunch of words that doesn't make sense... Enjoy!

The Monster I Was
My name, is the name of a monster,
And that's what I was, a monster.
Until you came…
I use to be lonely,
I use to be feared.
The villagers viewed me
As the grim reaper of doom.
Even when I was a child,
They ran away in fear.
My heart ached,
I wanted to be loved.
Then betrayal took form,
As the only one for cared.
And at that moment,
I decided to live only for myself.
To live everyday,Only to escape eternal sleep;
And kill all those who stood in my path.
For years that's how I lived,
That was, until you came…
You waltz into my life
Like a young deer in daze.
You treaded into territories
Where no one else dared.
Your fear did not reach you
When you gaze upon my face.
For that I admired you.
But just like them all
You wish for my death,
Just like them all
You care nothing for me.
At least that's what I thought…
Slowly, without realizing,
I fell for you.
I never expected it to happen,
But it did...
Maybe it was your selflessness,
That makes me want to protect you.
Or maybe it was the twinkle of laughter in your eyes
That makes me want to be a part of your happiness.
Or maybe it was just you,
Yourself, who caught my heart...
I want to hold you
In your moment of weakness,
Laugh and smile with you
When you are happy.
I want to give you the world.
I want to be the source of your happiness;
I want to be the one, who protects you;
I want to be the first in your mind;
I want to be the object of your affection;
I just want to be, with you for eternity.
Okay, just to be clear on one thing, this poem is NOT Gaara's thoughts on Naruto. Why does everyone think that. -arghh-
I reckon this is the best fanfiction poem I have ever wrote, it is my favourite..
It is ironic when your favourite character is someone else and write a better poem for someone who is 2nd on your list. It is quite sad actually. Itachi is my favourite character, this is one favourite fanfiction poem.
