Roxas sat in the armchair in the corner of the dining room, wearing the gorgeous dress Axel got him as a somewhat joke gift for their 4th anniversary.
The redhead in question walked through the room, halfway through getting ready for work, and paused, tilting the blonde's head up, kissing him softly, setting his head back down so as not to disturb him.
Poor thing must be tired. Always so quiet.
Axel headed off to work, and the day passed by slowly, the older man stepping through the doorway to their home at half past eight.
He called a greeting to his blonde, smiling, and walked through the dining room again to check up on him.
Grabbing a napkin off the table, he wiped away a small cherry-syrup colored smudge on Roxas's neck, making sure the bandage near there was properly in place.
After assuring that the blonde was doing alright, he kissed him again, and headed off to bed. In the morning, the smell of waffles filled the air, and Axel tugged Roxas's chair close to the table, setting a plate in front of him.
As he finished off his own, he looked over to his lover's place, noticing that the plate was still completely full.
"Come on, darling, eat up. You have to stay healthy you know, it wouldn't do for you to shrivel away."
Axel opened Roxas's mouth, tipping a small bit of waffle in, and shutting it again.
"Eat up, Roxy."
The redhead smiled, reaching for the blonde's closest hand, twining their fingers together.
And Roxas stared forward at the table with closed eyes.
Axel brushed some of Roxas's hair behind his ear, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
"My lovely, lovely, Roxy-doll. How pretty you are. How pretty you are when you're dead."
