Chronicles of a Lost Guardian
Amnesia on Full Blast
This little girl who no longer knew her name had no choice but to trust these strangers as friends, for they were all she had now. The way this happened is quite peculiar and tragic at the same time.
Her name is Melody Flamelight, she is an 8 year old hedgehog girl with light blue eyes and green hair with an odd red stripe going down from the left side of her head. Her older brother was Scourge, who didn't exactly treat his little sister nicely. He would constantly try to get her in trouble for his own amusement. She often wore a pair of jeans and a t-shirt because she couldn't afford much else.
One day, some strange men in metal suits came to the village entrance and demanded that she be handed over to the royal guard. The village elder knew that Scourge often gave her problems and that if they gave her away, they would probably come back to forcibly kidnap others, he refused to hand her over. His grand-daughter ran to the back entrance to warn Melody and told her to run to the next town for help. She did so, but the soldiers, angry at the people's defiance, destroyed the village and burned it down.
Melody, not knowing this, continued to run as fast as she could. She wasn't the best, but she could run at a good speed. It was because of this that she got very far away before realizing that something else was wrong. She finally looked back with shock and horror at the burning village and all of the people running for their lives. Some of them not succeeding.
She started to run back, but ran over a weak part of the cliff-side path. This path was weakened not only from recent rains, but an ancient battle had been fought there between two Mobian races that no longer existed. As a result, the underside that very few people saw had holes and crack all over it. The cliff, after hundreds of years, finally collapsed and Melody fell along with it.
She fell and hit her head on a rare type of rock that was especially hard, and it knocked her unconscious. She lay there for a few hours before waking up, but without her memory. She couldn't remember her name or anything else about her life. The only thing that she knew was that she was in a snowy forest with a weird robot facing her. Meanwhile, an evil scientist named Eggman was working just outside his base when he noticed one of his robots missing. This robot had a tendency to be violent toward others, but was a good worker, so Eggman kept it. He had tried several times, but even with an IQ of 300, he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.
He should have gotten rid of it, but unfortunately for Melody, it is too late. Eggman hears what may be the most blood curdling scream he had ever heard in his life. He jumped on his transportation-bot and raced over there just in time to save her life. She was badly wounded and when closely examined, his medical robots had to amputate her leg. For the rest of her life, her right leg would be a prosthetic. As bad as this seems for someone as young as she is, that isn't it. A dark entity broke into the base and started destroying everything in sight. Eggman knew what this meant so he jumped in a portal and transported himself elsewhere, without Melody. She was still in the ICU and in shock from her close encounter with death. The entity grew closer and closer with each step he took. She was unaware of what lied ahead, whether it was her end, or her savior.
