"Will you help me with this?" He asked, peeking his head out from the changing room.

"Sure. We need to hurry though, we go on after this scene."

He held out his wrist so she could button the ends of the sleeves. She laughed internally about how quite incapable he was at this. After she finished she had him turn around.

"You need to tuck in your shirt more, and get the vest untucked."

He did as she told him, then turned to face her once more. "Wait, can you help me button this top collar button? I think it looks better that way, but I can't get it."

"Uh, sure." She looked him over. He looked very handsome. She ignored the thought and took a step forward and reached out her hands to his collar. It was difficult to button, especially since he kept swallowing.

"I'll get it sooner or later." She laughed, which caused her to lean into him. Her face just inches from his chest. She saw him swallow again as she backed away. Quickly she got the button closed, then reached her hands past it and fixed the collar.

"There...you look great." She said, still aware that neither had backed away from each other. He looked down into her eyes. They seemed to be searching her for something. She recalled that someone had said he had very soulful eyes. She couldn't help but agree as she drowned in the pools of brown that were just mere inches from her. She thought back to the past few weeks. Before they were cast for the musical, they didn't even know each other. Then he started talking to her, which lead to random poking and making fun. During one of their scenes together, where they were supposed to just talk in the background, they began to make more than just a couple of comments to one another. As they would talk, he would lean in and look into her eyes. She would look forward to rehearsing this scene all day long. Then tech week came along. The costumes and makeup began to come together. Any spare moment, she noticed, he would come find her and just look at her and smile.

Coming back to the present, to opening night, she was realising just how handsome and special he was to her. She could not ignore the heat that she felt as she was practically pressed up against him. She shook herself from her daze and smiled at him. She reached up and rubbed a spot on his strong jawline."You had some makeup not blended in." She gave a chuckle then began to move to the door, but she was pulled back. He grabbed her hand and intertwined his fingers with hers. Once again he looked deep into her eyes and gave her...that smile. Then he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her. "You look beautiful." He whispered in her ear, sending shivers down her spine. She felt a pair of lips on her forehead before he released her and walked out the door.

The butterflies in her stomach did not stop when he left, nor did her flushing face return to a normal shade. She smiled as she placed a hand on her forehead, the ghost of his kiss remaining. The words that her director always quoted came to her mind. "There is magic in the theatre, and the theatre is magic."
