Washington D.C.

The phone rang. President Allison Taylor went to pick it up. She was about to retire for the night. She picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Mrs. President...sorry to bother you so late." a Russian voice said on the other end. It belonged to the Russian president, Aleksandr Leonov.

"Mr. Leonov. What can I help you with?"

"Mrs. President...I am afraid I have some very grave disturbing news. A yesterday, four nuclear warheads disappeared from a silo near Stalingbrad."

The president listened intensely.

"Four nuclear warheads?"

"We thought at first they had been shipped to another silo. We were wrong, though I wish we were right. We found out about an unnamed terrorist organization, managing to somehow steal them, and ship them to America within the last 24 hours."

"Four warheads...here?"

"I am afraid so, Mrs. President."

"Do we know anything else?"

"The warheads are set to detonate at certain times today. We do not know when."

"TODAY?!"

"Yes."

The president sat down. This couldn't be happening! The nation was getting ready for Independence day, and she was just now finding out about four nuclear warheads set to go off within the day.

"Mrs. President...I am sorry for just now telling you this. This information I assure you is very recent."

"No, thank you for the warning. We will do what we can to find and stop these detonations. If you excuse me..."

"Good luck Mrs. President."

President Allison hung up the phone. This was not good. Independence day was here and now they would have to avoid nuclear disaster amid all the festivities that would happen today.

She pressed a button on his phone.

"Yes, Mrs. President?"

"Sarah....get CTU on the phone immediately..."
