The Secret Life of Raoul De Changey

In this story the depths of Raoul's personal life is explored. Is he really the innocent good looking Vicomte we know so well? Many show hate towards Christine about her affair with the Phantom, but what about the young lighter girl Rose who worked at the Opera that Raoul seemed ever so close to?

Prologue –

We all know how the story goes.
We all know the story of the mysterious Opera Ghost.
We all know of his love for the beloved opera singer Mademoiselle Christine Daae, later to be Christine De Changey.
We all know of the talent he gave her, to give her the power to sing and enchant many.

We all know of Raoul the Vicomte who would always toss Christine a single red rose.
We all know how he loved her and how she loved him.
We all know how the Opera Ghost envied Raoul so.
We all know how the Opera Ghost tried desperately to win Christine's love and to do so he trapped her in his labyrinth of hell.
We all know how he tried to hang Raoul and how Christine in the end kissed the Opera Ghost to save her lover.
We all know how the Opera Ghost in the end let Christine go out of love.

We thought the story had ended but how wrong we were. The story continued when Christine fell pregnant with what everyone presumed was Raoul's child; however what everyone didn't know was that Christine had snuck back to the labyrinth to see her Phantom the night before her wedding day and he was the one who fathered the baby. But, he was not to know. For 10 years people believed the boy was Raoul's son but in the end Christine told of what had happened, the child was Phantom's and not Raoul's.

Many pitied Raoul about this. Most people felt sorry for him because Christine had betrayed him by sleeping with her deformed lover and by making him believe that the child was his for 10 years. But people forget about Raoul and what he done to Christine. People forget how he gambled a lot and got into drink. They forget how he gambled all their belongings and that it was up to Christine to bring the money back by singing on Coney Island in America.

People also don't know about Raoul's own personal life as the story mainly outlines Phantom and Christine. People tend to forget about Raoul along with some of the other people who worked at the Opera.

Was Raoul all he seemed to be? Handsome, good looking, innocent? Within this story the depths of Raoul's life will be explored. It will journey through his life with Christine, his hate for the Opera Ghost and his friendship with a certain lighting girl who worked at the Opera...
