Okay, so ya here is da oneshot! XD
Aang sat on top on the pile of fall leaves he had jumped onto that he had gathered earlier. He sat there, and thought about when the air nomads still lived, he'd do this all the time.
Flashback
Aang sighed and breathed in the scent of fall, his favorite season due to the windiness and their Fall Festival when they served egg custard tarts for dessert.
"Aang, what are you doing inside?" Gyatso, his mentor asked. "There's no one to play with, everyones so busy!" Aang exclaimed. "There's nothing to do!"
"You? Nothing to do? That's a miracle!" Gyatso said, "Your like a little ball of energy, where'd that energy go?" He asked.
Aang sighed, "You go outside, I'm sure you can find something to do, you can't sit forever." Gyatso said, pulling Aang up and out the door of his room.
Aang walked around and saw the leaves falling, the colors had changed from green to many shades of red, orange, and yellow. The breeze blew gently, quietly pulling loose leaves off of the trees. He looked down at a field where many leaves had gathered, he got an idea. There was a little edge looking over the field, he gathered a whole bunch of leaves under it. Aang went to the top of the edge, and jumped. He landed in the leaves and laughed as leaves flew up and fell on top of him.
Gyatso smiled watching Aang from above, he knew his energy couldn't hold that long.
End Flashback
Aang smiled at the memory, when he wanted to share this time with Katara. He walked back to camp and saw Katara's sleeping form. She was breathing calmly and in the morning light, looked like an angel. He gently shook her, and she woke up.
"What is it Aang?" She asked, her ice blue eyes wondering. "I need to show you something." Aang said smiling. Katara yawned, "Okay." She said getting up.
Aang brought her to the leaf pile.
"You woke me up, to see a bunch of leaves?" She asked. "Not to see them, to see what you can do with them!" He said, running up to the edge and jumped into the red and orange leaves, laughing when they flew into the air. Katara laughed when she saw a leaf land on top of his nose. Aang got up and bunched the leaves up. "Your turn Katara!" He said smiling.
"I don't know Aang, what if the leaves don't hold up for me?" She asked. "Don't tell me you think your fat," Aang stated, "You know you aren't."
"Well no, but I am taller, therefore heavier than you." She said.
"How do you know, for all you know I can weigh 186 pounds!" Aang said smiling. Katara laughed, "Fine, I'll jump in."
Katara went to the top of the edge, she looked down and realized how far the jump was. "You know what Aang, I change my mind." She said, starting to turn around.
"Aw come on! You said you would!" Aang said giving her a disappointed look. "Your right." She stated turning back around, looking apprehensive. "How about I jump with you." Aang said looking at Katara, hoping to comfort her. "Okay." She said, Aang walked up to the edge and Katara took his hand.
Aang blushed, "Okay ready?" Aang asked. "Ready." Katara nodded, "Okay, 1, 2, 3!" Aang yelled, they jumped, Katara shrieked when they landed in the leaves, they laughed as the leaves scattered about. Katara, trying to get off, rolled to her right, only to land on top of Aang.
Aang blushed, "Um, I guess we should get back to camp, before Sokka wakes up and finds us missing." Aang said.
"Yeah" Katara said, this time rolling to her left. They got up, and walked back to camp. Katara took Aang's hand and smiled, Aang blushed. Fall was definatly his favorite season.
