Hey! Am I the only one who loved the ending because there are so many blanks that we can make tons of fanfiction forever? I hope not! Here's a drabble (my first) that I thought up after the ending.

Summary: Alex is a young curious boy. His favorite past time is hearing old legends from the old man by the lake. (sucks summaries) Drabble for the finale.

IN A LAND OF MYTH

"Mom?"

Alex was a curious boy, but at age ten with the whole world yet to see it was only natural to be so. He sat at the dining room table of their old colonial house by Avalon Lake. It was a beautiful lake; reflecting the town's pride in its ancient history dating back to medieval times. If anyone dare questioned Camelot's culture, one would merely have to look out his or her window and see the ancient pillar standing tall or the remains of the once great castle.

"What is it?" His mother grunted as she packed her briefcase, muttering small curses as she realized that she would be late to her meeting.

Alex's mother was a proud woman. Who wouldn't be being the mayor of Camelot and all? She had blonde hair like Alex did, but instead of her son's icy blue eyes she had calm green ones.

The young boy pointed out of the kitchen window, "There. It's him again."

Alex's mother followed his gaze and sighed, "So it is..."

There was one other thing about Camelot that Alex found more interesting than anything.

The old man.

Everyday without fail he came to the lake and stood in front of their house on the lakefront. He had the saddest face and long white hair. When Alex was younger he remembered asking the man if he was a wizard. The man had given the slightest knowing smile before his mother dragged him away.

"Okay honey, I'll be gone for a while. You have all of the emergency numbers and if you need anything Mrs. Pendragon is right next door-"

"I know Mom! I'm fine." Alex rolled his eyes as his mom kissed his forehead before leaving work.

Alex waited until he heard the truck pull out of the driveway and fade into the distance before grabbing his shoes and running outside, the door slamming behind him.

A grin was plastered onto his face as he waited for all the cars to pass. He saw the man on the other side. Standing there as if waiting for something. Alex knew it wasn't him.

He heard a truck start up behind him and jumped only to realize it was just Mrs. Pendragon going out to get something. She was a beautiful woman, and was his babysitter for as long as he could remember. She had curly brown hair and sunkissed tan skin along with bizarre blue eyes like his own. She was the kindest woman Alex knew.

As soon as it was safe to cross the street Alex smiled and dashed towards the lake.

"Mr. Emrys!" He grinned and stopped beside the old man.

Merlin Emrys was a relatively quiet man, the only reason he even talked to Alex was because he supposedly reminded him of an old friend. Alex stopped beside him and waited until Merlin was out of his reverie.

It was nearly ten minutes, in which Alex skipped stones to keep himself busy as he waited for the man to be ready. Then he heard the tell tale signs of the man coming back to reality. It was Merlin's voice, old and crackly yet still sounding powerful. The words he spoke were mere tales, yet they sounded like memories of a forgotten past. It always began with one sentence; the beginnings of all of Alex's favorite stories:

"In a land of myth and a time of magic, the destiny of a great kingdom rested on the shoulders of a young man..."

The stories of King Arthur and Merlin; the prattish prince and his idiot manservant in neverending tales of wonder and enchantment. Immortal in their legends forevermore.
