The Other Side of the Universe

She had been doing this for months.

Running.

She didn't know what she was running from, but she also couldn't understand what it had said either. Her scientific mind couldn't figure out what was going on. She didn't understand how she could breathe on this planet and why those things had changed her clothes before they let her go and let her run. At first it seemed simple, but whatever these things were, they didn't fight fair. The gash in her head said that.

For months, all she did was run and hope her friends would find her. She didn't give up on them. They would get her back like before, like always. She would see Coulson, Skye, May, Bobby, Mack and Hunter again. Most importantly, she would finally get to see Fitz again and it made her heart skip a beat. For that reason, she kept running. It didn't matter if she couldn't see Earth from here and it was the other side of the universe, she believed she would make it out alive and it was with that tiny shred of hope that she continued to run.

For all she had and would have again, Jemma kept running.
