"Seeing is Believing"

For 300 years, Jack wasn't been able to get people to notice him. He pleaded for a sign that someone would believe in him one day, so he tried his best giving everything he could to get the children's attention from freezing water fountains and clotheslines to creating blizzards, but none of them got their attention or even close to believing in him. Even though, he was satisfied with what he did, but only to himself.

He stood on top of the roof as he thought long and hard. Then, the moon came out to shine. He looked at the full moon above him lighting up the night sky and the stars around it. He lifted his hood up to hide his face from the moon and leaned against his staff. "If there's something I'm doing wrong, can you- can you just tell me what it is?" He said to the moon as his lips began to quiver. "Because I've tried everything and no one ever sees me..." The moon remained silent to his sorrowful plea. "I mean, you put me here, the least you can do is tell me...tell me why..." Jack's voice sounded like a broken record as he hoped the moon would give him an answer. He felt a tear started to form at the corner of his eye.

However, the moon continued to shine, steady and unchanging. Jack knew that the moon would ignore his questions, he felt frustrated and shook his head. "Why do I bother?" He grumbled as he gave a deep sigh. Perhaps I was never meant to be seen by the children...

Just as he was going to leave, he heard something crunching in the snow. He turned to where the noise came from but nothing was there, he jumped down to investigate the sound. "Could it be?" He said to himself. He slowly walked up to a tree, hoping that it would be someone hiding behind it while he was talking to the moon. He crept to the tree trunk and carefully glanced behind only to startle a cat that pounced out at him, luckily, he dodged fast enough to not get clawed by it. Just as he thought when the moon would give him a tiny glimmer of hope, it all faded away in an instant. He blamed the moon for tricking him.

He looked down at the ground staring at his bare feet that touched the snowy ground below. He deeply sighed again as he flew off to the night sky. "What am I to do?"

But little did he know, something was shining against the windows and it hid itself from the curtains...

Hello readers! (They're probably all Jack Frost fans out there...) If some of you may know me, I used to write video game romance fan-fiction and then I took a really long break (but I kept writing, all the stuff I wrote is on hold). So, what you may have read could have been something I wrote about 2 years ago (and probably 3...) I've been trying to improve my writing skills in the past and now...I'm gonna put it to the test. So, please leave a comment about my first movie-related fanfic. I appreciate it!
