Hi minna~

I got another story for ya. Just a oneshot though.

GRIMMICHI (gotta love em) DON'T LIKE DON'T READ!

It was that day again. The day his mother died.

Ichigo stared intently out his window as he changed into some jeans and a t shirt. He was strangely silent and the scowl that normally was on his face was absent. His mind was all jumbled, thinking about things. It had been 3 months since the Winter War had ended. Aizen was dead and Gin & Tousen were in the Soul Society receiving punishment. All the Espada were dead. Save for one.

"Ichi, babe? Are you okay?" Grimmjow asked, wrapping his arms around Ichigo's slim waist. A low grunt was his answer. After the Winter War had ended, Ichigo had taken Orihime back to Hueco Mundo and asked her to heal Grimmjow. Somehow, after all that time, the Sexta Espada was still struggling for life. He would've asked the same for Ulquiorra but he was well and truly gone… Grimmjow being healed, Ichigo asked Urahara to make a reiatsu suppressing collar so Grimmjow couldn't harm anyone. In the short 3 months, Ichigo and Grimmjow grew close and now they were together as a couple. At first Grimmjow tried to get everyone he knew that could take the collar off to take it off but no one ever did. But now, even if someone offered to take to collar off, Grimmjow refused to leave Ichigo.

"Ichi, honey. I know something is wrong. Why aren't you going to school?" Grimmjow's rough voice cut through his thoughts. Ichigo did this on the same day every year since the Winter War. Since they've been together. Grimmjow wondered vaguely if Ichigo did this every year before the Winter War as well. Grimmjow turned Ichigo and placed his hands on Ichi's bare shoulders. Ichigo sighed and looked into Grimmjow's cerulean eyes.

"Today is… the day that my mother died." Grimmjow's eyes widened and his grip on Ichi's shoulders tightened slightly.

"What..." Grimmjow cleared his throat, wondering if he was about to step on a land mine for asking this question. "What happened?" Ichigo looked away has he fought to hold back his tears. Grimmjow noticed as his Berry began to shake slightly. He pulled him close and wrapped his arms around him tightly.

"She was killed by a Hollow." Ichigo murmured, curling into Grimmjow's arms.

Little five year old Ichigo stayed close to his mom as they walked home from his Martial Arts class. It was cold, wet and rainy. Ichigo took joy from jumping in little puddles on the foot path. They were walking along the river, giggling and talking, when Ichigo noticed a young girl with short black hair and a white overcoat standing next to the river, Little Ichi's eyes widened, shouting 'No, don't do that!' as he slid down the slope to stop the girl from steeping into the wild rushing river.

"No, Ichigo!" was the last thing Ichigo heard from his mother before he awoke to find her lying dead on top of him.

Screams of 'Mommy! No, mommy, please wake up!' echoed in Ichigo's ears as a single tear slipped down his cheek.

He was so wrapped up in his memory he didn't even notice the tear on his cheek or Grimmjow wiping it away. It wasn't until a pair of lips pressed against his forehead did he snap back to the present day.

"Grimmjow?" Ichigo stammered, blushing brightly.

"I'm sorry about your mother's passing. You'll always have Goatface though. And Yuzu, and Karin. And… me." Grimmjow mumbled against Ichi's forehead.

Ichigo smiled for the first time that day.
