"Alllllright, slimeball." Patricia sighed, dragging out her words, obviously annoyed. "Two rules: Don't touch me. Don't talk to me. Got it? Good." she scoffed as she rolled out her sleeping bag. She checked her phone quickly. 00:32... everyone else is probably asleep. she thought, as she snuggled up in the tent, facing away from Eddie. I loved him.
Past tense, Patricia. He's happy with her.
She isn't right for him.
You need to let him go.
She shut out the voice in her head telling her to get over him, and felt her eyelids getting heavier, and heavier, until,
she was back at Anubis House. She couldn't move. She saw Eddie and... herself...?walking downstairs together, hand in hand. It was a blur after that. But a little part of her didn't want to wake up from that dream; her head was spinning as she opened her eyes, realizing she was back in the tent. She tilted her head towards him; he was sound asleep.
She took a deep breath. She was going to do this. "Eddie," she whispered, a minuscule sound escaping her mouth. "Eddie," she repeated, significantly louder this time. "Slimeball!" She sighed, raising her voice louder, but trying not to wake any of the others.
"What?" he asked, rubbing his eyes as he turned over to face her.
She suddenly felt as if she couldn't speak, like her vocal cords were frozen, or there was duct tape over her mouth. "I... um," she stuttered, taking a deep breath as she gathered all her confidence, "Okay, I know you're dating KT, but-"
"I am." he interjected, with a twinge of regret in his voice.
"Look, just hear me out. I. Still. Have. Feelings. For. You." she took a pause after each word, exaggerating the syllables. Her stomach flipped, and her eyes watered, as he stared at her in utter silence. "Whatever." she scoffed.
"No, wait, Yacker." he finally spoke as she was tucking herself away, back into her soft, comfy sleeping bag. "I still like you too. I just wanted to make you jealous..." he admitted.
Patricia quickly crashed his lips to hers, savoring every second. She pulled away relatively quickly, smacking his face. "What was that for?"
"That was for breaking up with me in the first place." She slapped him again. "And that was for not telling me sooner."
