Hello readers! I am sorry that I have neither updated nor posted in forever, I have school with 2 college level classes and the homework load is a bit heavy. With that being said I will try to update my unfinished stories and I hope you enjoy this one. Please review (Sirius gets a little impatient, as you can imagine...Just kidding). But I hope you like it and can't wait to see your thoughts. Xoxo ~Creaturess of the Night~

Lily Evans was having a bad day. She screwed up in DADA class and it humiliated her. And on top of that, James Potter asked her out in the most humiliating way. To sum it up, her day just sucked. She sat by the lake on the grounds where the giant squid was and just stared at the water, letting her thoughts wander.

She heard the approaching of footsteps and she sighed. She turned to tell the person to go away when she froze. It was a shaggy black dog trotting towards her. She smiled brightly at the animal as it neared her. Lily had always loved dogs, and wanted one, but Petiniua ruined that for her. She felt a pain course through her as she thought of her sister. She saw that it had a tennis ball in its mouth and her smile grew even bigger, as thoughts of her bad day and her hurtful sister left her.

She spent the next half hour playing fetch with it while it licked her face affectionately in between throws. She giggled each time the slobbery pink tongue licked her face. She was enjoying the dog'a company and it had brightened her day immensely. Playing with the dog gave her a happy feeling that she hadn't felt in her stress lately.

All of a sudden James Potter came storming down the hill with an angry look in his face. She blinked at his expression as he neared her and the dog. He marched right past her and straight to the dog. He grabbed the dog by the scruff of its beck and snarled "Thanks a lot Padfoot." He dragged the whining dog all the way back to castle while Lily watched in confusion at his unusual behavior. As she watched him leave her thoughts wandered to how James knew the dog was there and how he could control it so easily. She shook the thoughts as she headed to the common room with her good mood still intact.
