Cedric remembered her scent, when he closed his eyes; it seemed to waft all over him, engulfing his senses with the memory of ink and gardenias. It was her own personal scent that he could smell on her clothes, her hair and every inch of her skin. He loved the scent as much as he loved Hermione.
But now, as she was buried in her coffin underneath the ground, all he could smell was rain, soil and the bitter smell of death.
