Disclaimer: I do not own Sherlock or any of these characters I'm just borrowing them for my own entertainment :D

Mary and John were sat with baby name books in hand. Whatever name the other suggested just didn't feel right for their unborn daughter and now with only a month until she was due, they were getting worried that they wouldn't be able to find the 'perfect name.' Mary sighed and put down her book before turning to her husband.

"I heard what Sherlock said to you on the runway." Mary stated.

"Oh, what was that?" John inquired.

"William Sherlock Scott Holmes." Mary smiled.

"Oh, that." John smiled back.

"How about Willow?" Mary asked, looking down at her stomach.

"Willow." John repeated, trying the name out.

"It goes with the middle name we picked and she can also be named after Sherlock without it being obvious." Mary explained.

"You want to name her after Sherlock?" John questioned, his eyebrows raised.

"He's played a huge role in both of our lives and Willow is such a sweet name." Mary replied.

John grinned and Mary took that as a yes before writing down the name of their child. Willow Harriet Watson.

Sherlock was looking through his microscope as Mary and John got ready to announce the name to him. They were nervous yet excited as they knew the name was perfect for their daughter as she was named after Sherlock and Harry, who had finally stopped drinking and was mending her relationship with Clara.

"We've decided on a name." Mary told the Consulting Detective.

"How great." Sherlock half smiled, his eyes not leaving the microscope.

"Willow Harriet Watson. After you and Harry." John announced.

Sherlock spun round and looked at the couple with confusion and surprise.

"After me and Harry?" He questioned.

"Of course. You're our best friend and Harry's my sister. I couldn't think of anyone else we'd want to name her after." John replied.

Sherlock actually smiled at the Watsons and their name choice. He knew that Willow would be the most loved and looked after child with Mary and John and he was astonished that they would want to keep the child around him with all the danger that followed him. Of course, he wasn't going to let any criminals get their hands on Willow Harriet Watson, but he was pleasantly surprised that the Watsons were going to let him around her with the potential risk.

"Thank you." Sherlock nodded before turning back to his experiment.

"Just don't let her see any dead bodies or any parts of the dead in the fridge." John warned with a fond smile.

"Yes, John." Sherlock sighed, but the smile was still on his face.

Mary and John looked at each other once again and grinned. Maybe Willow Watson was going to bring out a caring side of Sherlock Holmes that they hadn't seen before.
