Maybe it was the fact that Joseph just had more balls then most men. Maybe it was the fact he simply happened to be an idiot. Or perhaps it was both of those with a hundred dollar bet on the top of it that he wouldn't actually do this of all things, thanks to Forest and Richard, that had really gotten the ball going.
Without a care that both Alpha and Bravo teams were currently present Joseph headed directly over towards the bossman's desk, all grins and amusement, carrying a rectangle box that had been wrapped up nicely and even had a bow on it under his right arm. Wesker glanced up from his work, expressionless and sunglasses-clad as always, at the goof that stood there before his desk. "Have we a problem, Frost?" His voice was near-emotionless with just enough of an edge to suggest for Joseph to not do what he planned on currently doing.
"Yep! I mean…nope! I mean.. Happy birthday, captain!" The vehicular specialist plopped the haphazardly wrapped present down on the top of the captain's desk. Wesker's gaze only wavered once, just a glance down at the unskilledly wrapped gift, before returning back to Joseph's face. "It is neither my birthday nor would I be interested in a gift from you, Frost. Remove it from my desk."
"Awww! C'mon, you have to at least open it before you say that!" No, Joseph didn't honestly get the hint, even leaning forward playfully a little bit while earning amused chuckles from his coworkers. "Is it something where I'll be giving you more paperwork as punishment on top of the over a week's backwork you already need to complete?" From behind his shades the stoic, commanding man raised a brow towards the younger subordinate before him.
Silence was what came from Joseph.
"Exactly."
