Author's note: So have any of you ever wondered if the 2012 turtles have tails? If so have you ever wondered why we never saw them or even how April and Casey would react to this little fact. I don't own T.M.N.T.
The guys and there human friends, April and Casey were all sitting in front of the T.V. trying to find something to watch. They got to the news channel that had a story about an animal rescue.
The Reporter: "As you can see officials from the zoo have just rescued an injured sea turtle. It appears that it got tangled in a net with its back legs." (The camera showed the injured sea turtle and they began to talk about where it's head and so on, are located.) "His head is tucked into his shell right here, and back here is where his back legs and tail are if he wasn't hiding from us…."
Leo changed the channel before the reporter could go into more detail about turtles and location of their body parts.
The turtles were hoping that nether April or Casey would ask them the question they feared…..
"Um do you guys have tails….like non-mutated turtles?" (April)
The guys all stiffened up, not really wanting to talk about this certain subject. Donnie not wanting to be rude says very meekly, "Um….yes we do have tails April…."
April understanding that they didn't really want to talk about their tails just dropped the subject…that doesn't mean Casey took the hint.
"Ha Ha…..Dudes you guys have tails? That is awesome, hey wait why haven't we seen them before?" (Casey)
Donnie just looks away being red in the face, Leo has a flustered look on his face, Raph looks angry that his friend even ask and Mikey was just fidgeting where he sat.
April still taking the hint says, "Casey can you just drop the subject?"
"Aw come on Red I was just asking…..not to mention that I kind of actually want to see them now…."
April started to be flustered and gave the guys an apologetic look knowing how uncomfortable they must be feeling.
They then heard, "What is going on in here?" (Splinter)
"Oh hey Splinter we just heard a news report about a turtle being rescued, and the reporter mentioned about a tail….and Red and I just found out that the guys have tails, which I really want to see now."
Splinter gives Casey a perplexed look, not knowing why the boy would want to in any circumstance see the turtle's tails…..
