Late Night Memories

He can't remember when the nightmares started.

Somewhere during Desert Storm may well be. Or maybe even after that.
At first it was just the war. Dead and faceless bodies invading his once pleasant dreams.

But that was normal – or so he was told.

Then the explosion and the funeral. The bodies not faceless anymore. Nightmares increasing.
That he remembers well. He assumes always will.

But then again that was probably normal too.
What he remembers most, however, wasn't.

Bodies colliding. Faces smiling for the first time in years.
Marseille. That's where the nightmares ended. At least for a while..

As I sad short.. but then again, that's what drabbles are all about, aren't they? XD So please let me know if you liked it. :)
