Disclaimer: I don't own Monk and I don't own Ned. Ned is the guy from Pushing Daisies.

Monk had heard those words before… said slightly different, only by one word at his own wedding. Up until that day he had been able to handle it but hearing those words in his head really hurt and it hadn't even been spoken aloud yet. He had remembered when he first discovered the name of Leland's fiancée. He had been cleaning out Leland's desk for him and came across a letter. She had signed her name.

"Monk," Leland said not bothering to ask him what he was doing at his desk, "before you go insane you might want to check the date of that letter, particularly the year."

Monk looked at the year. It was dated 2009.

"But the name," he whispered

"Yeah… that's T.K.'s name too," Leland explained.

"Monk," Leland said, "I'm glad you're here. You are getting married too"

Monk looked at him with question marks in his eyes.

"We have a surprise for you," Natalie explained, "I have a friend named Ned"

"And this is relevant to me how," Monk asked, "I'm not exactly into guys"

"Mr. Monk," Natalie explained, "Many years ago when I was going through a major crisis in my life, you really came through for me. Do you remember that?"

"Do I remember it? I'll probably be remembering it my whole life"

"Well now it's my turn to come through for you."

"Natalie's friend has a 'special gift' and he used that special gift at Natalie's request"

"Huh?"

"Come on Monk," Leland said, "I want to introduce you to your new bride"

"Leland I can't get married again," Monk pointed out, "that would be betraying my Trudy"

"See that's the beauty of it Mr. Monk," Natalie said, "It wouldn't be"

"Monk, do you remember about 5 years ago when that woman was hired to impersonate Trudy?"

"Yeah… like I'll ever forget that," he shuddered

"Get in the car," Leland said

"Okay," Monk agreed, "but I need to sit in front and I'm not going to-"

"Monk, just get in the damn car"

The driver took them to the cemetery where they walked to Monk's wife's grave. Ned was there.

"You must be Adrian Monk," Ned stated, "I heard so much about you"

He knelt at the grave and said a few words. All of a sudden Trudy was there again.

On the Beach Later

Monk had heard those words before. Hearing them again was music to his ears. He watched as Leland and TK exchanged their vows. He knew only seconds later it would be his turn. He was finally reunited with his world.
