I don't own twilight.

It has been an hour since Jacob and my baby brother Seth, ran off from the pack to defend that Leech-lover having that spawn of a baby.

I told Sam to let me go home to tell my mom what happened and he let me go and now I made a choice. I phased back and got dressed when I was a few feet from home I saw my Mom's Ford Expedition 1991 and my dad's-still-untounched-might-soon-to-be-Seth's-1984 Ford Ranger and my 1991 Jeep Cherokee out in the backyard since I don't use it since I started phasing.

I walked inside saw that downstairs was empty and heard Mom soft breathing upstairs.

She must be taking a nap.

Good I won't have to face her.

I got some stationary out of the pantry to write a letter for my mother about all that's happening and what I'm going to do.

I was so into the letter that I didn't realize a voice a in coming from the kitchen entreway, "Leah?"

Oh no.

I turned to my mother.

"Mom?" Her long dark hair was in a ponytail, she had on a pair of sweats and one of dad's old T-shirts.

"What are you doing?" she said worried. Then I saw her kind of realizing what was happening when she noticed the letter.

I sighed. I owed Mom so much since my attitude with the Sam and Emily situation, Dad's death, and everything else.

Before I said anything Mom said we could talk over some hot chocolate.

While drinking the tasty beverages, I told about everything that happened that had happened today and about my choice.

Strangely, she didn't seem mad or angry, just completely worried. I can finally see how exhausted she is from staying so strong all time.

"Well I can't and won't stop you honey, but are you sure that this is what YOU want to do, just so you know I am asking as your mother, not a member of the council." She looked me straight in the eye and put her hands over mine.

I thought back on everything.

"Yeah mom, I might start being happy again, being away from here" I squeezed her hands gently.

Mom nodded knowing she wouldn't be able to change my mind.

"So when are you going?"

"Most likely now, because most of the guys are getting off patrol to have a meeting at Emily's house now, so it might be easy to get past them"

She nodded understandingly. We both put our mugs in the sink and she walked to the door.

"I just want you and Seth to promise me that you will come back" She said to me.

"I promise" I said in understanding. "Bye Mom"

"Bye sweetie"

"Tell them what I'm doing at the pack meeting"

She looked taken back.

"You sure?" she asked seriously.

"Yeah" I answered her

"Alright"

I could tell we were both holding the tears back.

We both hugged each other tightly and I kissed her on the cheek and she kissed my forehead.

Right when I was on the driveway I turned around and saw my mom still looking on the from the porch.

I couldn't stop myself and I ran back to her with open arms and my mother, knowing what I was doing, and opened her arms too.

I embraced as tightly as I allowed so my werewolf strength wouldn't crush her, but she used her full strength in that hug. We just let our let tears fall.

When let go, we wiped our tears and away and she kissed my forehead and I kissed her cheek again. She patted my shoulder and said "Good luck, Leah, and be careful"

I patted her should too, "I will and good luck to you too"

I walked away from house. Right when I was a the forest about 20 feet from my house, I turned toward her again waved at her and she waved back.

I turned back toward the forest making sure the coast was clear. I phased and ran away from La Push in search of Jake and Seth and hopefully toward a new start.

I know it's horrible but whatever.
