He ran one of his hands through his unkempt, bronze hair. I looked, and then got lost in his deep brown eyes. They were two pools I constantly found myself drowning in-which was saying something because I qualified for the varsity swim team as a freshmen. However, I had the hardest time trying to break my gaze on him. He had a heart shaped face and ears that slightly stuck out. Scattered across his face were a few freckles. I was broken out of my trance just as he caught me staring. I continued and we locked eyes for a quick moment before I turned my head. Yet again, I was caught looking at the guy who's name I don't even know by my friend Margot.

"Looking at the gorgeous guy again?", she laughed

"maybe", I laughed back

"He does crew. His name is Edward", Sophie told us. She also rowed crew on the school team. "I hear he's a great photographer! But, he's really weird.", she laughed. "I see him fidgeting all the time"

I laughed and said, "Don't say that! That will only make me like him even more", I smiled.

Lunch had become the highlight of my day ever since he had caught my attention. I had been starting to begin to wear makeup again and dress a little nicer, hoping it would catch his eye. I think I caught him staring at least once, and I make it an effort to walk past his table whenever possible and sit at a table near his. He sat with the prepster sophomores, but this didn't bother me like something like that usually would. Onegirl I had theatre class with sat with him. Maybe I could get her to introduce us. But how would that go over? "Hi this is my freshman firend who thinks your absolutely gorgoues. Don't be creeped out or anything. " NO. My best friend Courtney is trying to encourage me to do something like that, but I am too shy. I'm afraid he isn't interested or wouldn't want to date a freshman.

"We better get going if we want to be in history on time. Maybe if we're lucky we'll get to watch another movie on imperialism!", my friend Ori joked.

I got up and walked out the cafeteria, but not before I locked eyes with Edward one last time for the day.
