Why Not?

Ginny sat at the desk in her dorm, staring at a note that Draco had left for her. All it said was a quick hello, but still, Harry had seen it, and told Ron who had almost choked. "Ginny!" Ron had sputtered only seconds ago. "Why would you want to get involved with Malfoy, its against all family traditions, he hates us, don't you know that?"
Ginny had just ran off and avoided Ron, what an idiot he could be. Ginny thought Draco was cute, and if the stupid family feud thing was going to get in the way then that was just too much! Hermione burst in the room, slamming a pile of books on Ginny's bed and panting.
"What the hell are you doing, Ron is practically in tears, and you want Malfoy? Are you insane?" Hermione bellowed. Ginny just looked away, she wouldn't cry. No, she wouldn't cry, she wouldn't cry!
A huge tear rolled down Ginny's cheek, only to be followed by several more. "Aww, Ginny come on, you know any guy would love to go out with you, but Draco? Come on!" Hermione attempted to pat Ginny on the shoulder warmly, but it just felt like a slap on the back to Ginny.
"Why does the stupid family have to make all the decisions in my life, I mean, its just a guy, why shouldn't I go out with him? Because of his last name, come on, your smart, that sounds stupid to you, doesn't it?" Ginny said, drying her tears with the lone sleeve of her black robes.
Hermione shook her head exasperatedly and sighed up to the ceiling as if attempting to pray to whatever gods might be laying around the ceiling in a girls dorm room at Hogwarts. "Fine, it sounds stupid okay? Go out with him, see if I care, but Ron will and so will the rest of your family, Ginny, don't be incompetent!"
