"Secrets of a Dream"
Prologue
Drop
A large oasis full of trees and a lake in the center appears. A clearing in the trees reveals that it is a clear night with a full moon. Sora is asleep in a hut, with Shippo asleep next to her and Inuyasha close by. The container of Shikon shards around Sora's neck begins to gleam. In one brilliant flash of light, she is suddenly underwater.
Chapter 1: The Spellcatsing Oasis
Sora can see a light shining above her as the water begins rippling and air bubbles slowly float to the top. As she slowly reached out for it, a force abruptly pulls her out of the water, towards the light. In an instant, we see Sora standing on the edge of the lake, soaking wet. Her spaghetti strap, short, white night gown sticks to her body, defining her smooth curves. She seems to be in a daze but, quickly snaps out of it. She looks down at the small Jewel lying in her palms. 'It almost looks like one of the soul crystals that help form the Shikon jewel. . .' Sora thought, still caressing the delicate object.
The jewel then slowly rises up to the center of the lake, where it begins to glow. The leaves of the trees in and around the lake begin to rustle as a warm breeze starts to blow. Blue, purple, and pink lights appear and begin to dance around the sparkling jewel. Then, without warning, it suddenly disappears and the lights begin to twist around each other.
Snap
'Huh?' Sora began to look for the source of the noise. Then, she found it. As she turned to the shining lake, with lights dancing, they instantly formed into one, thin, straight, white beam of light.
Almost as soon as she had turned around, the light grew brighter and brighter. Without warning, it shot out, driving straight through Sora's chest, causing her to fall back. Immediately after it had stricken her, the oasis vanished and not long after, so did the light. Blood spilled out of her as she fell into the growing darkness. 'No! What's happening to me? I can't move! Help!' Sora tried to scream, but nothing came out . . . as she fell back, she heard a harsh voice call out, "Die, Sora!"
'Wha-…who…?'' then, she saw him. Inuyasha appeared, raising the tetsusaiga, ready to strike. His eyes were red and glazed over, full of hate and malice. 'No! Wait! Inuyasha!' she once again tried to cry out, but still, nothing. 'Nnnooooooo!'
Slash
Tears trailed down her cheeks as she fell, the piercing intensity of his talons shooting throughout her entire body. Her heart paced slowed as she rasped for breath. 'Inuyasha . . . no . . . it can't be! Why! Why did you-?' Her thoughts trailed away as her eyes glassed over and eternal darkness encompassed her body while she drifted into nothingness. Her tears were carried away with her life as her soul crystal appeared and was snatched up by the now sneering Inuyasha.
'Inuyasha . . . I trusted you . . . I loved you . . .'
End of chapter 1! What'll happen next? Nobody knows . . . Except ME! HAHAHAH! I should torture you all and wait forever to update, but I won't because I'm nice . . . hope ya'll enjoyed it! This should hint that this wasn't a one-shot and that there are more chapters to come in the near future. Till then, see ya!
