1Laura Kinney sat high in the tree, where no one would even think to look. She liked it up here, where she could be wild and natural and nobody would care. She liked to watch the other students and try to figure out what the point was to their antics. It was amusing to watch Bobby annoy Jubilee, but other than that, she found no method to their mischievousness. And why did Kitty brush her hair so often when it was already beautiful? Why did Scott obsess so much about his shades? And why did Kurt love his watch so much? She knew what he looked like, but she liked it. He reminded her of the stuffed animal Dr Risman had given her once. She couldn't understand, also, why the girls wore so much make up. They were born how they were supposed to look, weren't they?
Laura liked specific few people at the mansion, ands her standards were high. She liked Rahne, because she was sensible, much more so than the others. The others looked with only their eyes, and even then saw mostly only what they wanted to see. Rahne knew better than that. Storm was sensible also, and knew how to deal with those who are unruly. Logan, for obvious reasons, and finally, Kurt, because huge reminded her of Vladimir, her fuzzy stuffy, and because he was the only one out of the students who hadn't judged. He had been kind and understanding when no one else was, and had forgiven her cautious and untrusting qualities. He had forgiven her when the memory surfaced and she had smashed his music box.
She loved him.
But she wasn't sure if that was what she was feeling. She had only ever known hatred and anger…nothing more. She had witnessed the affection that passed Kurt and Rogue, and Kitty ad Lance, and most definitely Scott and Jean. But was it the same as what she felt for Kurt?
She knew she loved him, but she wasn't sure how. Was he the older brother she never had? Someone she could come to after a rough day? Or was he more than that? Laura was new to emotions. She didn't know how she felt, but she knew she loved Kurt Wagner.
Thank you for reading! Love ya'll!
As an after thought: Why does Scott love his car so much? It's just a hunk of metal. On the other hand...Laura loved her hunks of metal very much...
