Small Tom/Ginny one shot that could be followed up with one shots depicting a variety of different pairings, and if anyone has a pairing they'd like me to do, ya'll just let me know now, ya here?
When something (or someone, in Ginny Weasley's case) you care very much about is gone for a very long period of time, you begin to recreate every detail you can remember about that certain something, (or someone).
Ginny remembers how his hair parted deeply on the right side, and the strange almost square shape it made as it hovered over his brow. She had assumed that he used some form of product on it, to hold that sort of shape, but whenever she gathered up enough courage to feel the unusual lock, she couldn't bring herself to inquire any farther than brushing her finger tips across it lightly (lovingly), and so she never found out.
She thinks of how the emotions playing across his face could change in an instant,
And at his complete control. And of how beautiful the brief moments were when his emotions escaped his control and his rectangular visage expressed something unplanned for.
She allows herself to imagine that sometimes his dark and unreadable eyes held something of a desire for her, and that he really did care only for her, although she was a only a foolish, silly eleven and he was, well, evil.
Ginny lets herself indulge completely in this consuming dissection of Tom Marvolo Riddle, because he no longer poses a threat to her morals, and side. She even lets herself mourn that very fact.
