Kankuro's revelation.
Kankuro and Gaara take a trip to the hidden leaf village to look over the chuunin exams. When they arrive in konoha, they are immediately confronted by konohamaru and his team. Konohamaru wants revenge from the previous time they met and challenges Kankuro to a fight, which he accepts with extreme arrogance. They finally meet to start the match and not expecting much he only releases crow. As soon as the fight begins it becomes obvious that konohamaru has trained and become quite formidable. Kankuro then decides it is time to release black ant but holds back from using the black secret machine one shot as he doesn't want to kill konohamaru. When Kankuro takes a huge punch to the chest his anger flares and he readies himself for the black secret technique, when Gaara stops him. The fight continues and it soon becomes apparent that Kankuro will lose due to the lack of bloodlust. Konohamaru finally defeats him by using a mix of sexy-jutsu and a punishing combination of kicks, which he calls konoha sexy barrage.
Crushed by his defeat Kankuro decides to fit in endless hours of training to make himself better. After a tiring day he realises he lost because he underestimated konohamaru. He works on a new combination with crow and salamander which he perfects within mere minutes. He goes to the ninja academy to witness the exams and see's that konohamaru is eagerly awaiting his match. Kankuro uses a transformation jutsu to take the form of his opponent whilst knocking out the real ninja. When the match begins Kankuro decides to keep the guise until he starts to lose as to crush konohamaru's spirit. He fights using basic ninjutsu and taijutsu while in the disguise and notices a weakness of konohamaru. Naruto. He insults him to make him angry and flustered whilst slow channelling the jutsu from his disguise and into his puppets. He sends out crow and salamander still using the guise. When he readies his new technique he looks konohamaru in the eye and notices that he still won't back down despite the undefeatable odds. He ends the attack and purposely takes a hit as to throw the match. He disappears before he runs out of chakra, konohamaru still believing he defeated his real rival. Kankuro then vow's he will never fight a weaker opponent in revenge stating to Gaara that defeating a weaker opponent would be an insult to the sand village and Gaara the kazekage himself the two return to suna after hearing that konohamaru got knocked out immediately after filling himself with pride. Kankuro laughs realising that if he hadn't done what he had konohamaru may have become a chuunin and may one day become the hokage he wished to be. He and Gaara walk out of the village gates and travel back to suna.
