Rory felt a deep, red blush spread over her face as the teachers words echoed in her ears.
"More fascinating than staring at Ms. Gilmore's ear, Mr. Dugray?"
Paris glanced over at Rory's red face and watched her pull her hair over her ear.
Paris then quickly glanced back at Tristan, and saw that he too, was blushing a deep red.
"Well, well, well, it look's like Tristan likes Rory" Louise whispered to Madeline, who nodded and glanced at Paris, smirking.
Before Paris could send a stinging reply back at them, the bell rang ending class.
Rory kept her head down, gathered her books, and hurried out of class.
Tristan slowly gathered his books and walked out of the class with his head held high, and ignored the snickers that followed his exit.
Their teacher watched Tristan making his airy exit and laughed to herself.
"I don't think that I've ever seen Mr. Dugray so flustered."
Rory had just opened her locker and stuffed her books inside, when she turned to find three pairs of glittering eyes staring right at her.
"Hello, Paris, Madeline, and Louise. To what do I owe the horror of your visit?" Rory asked with a slight smirk.
Madeline rolled her eyes and leaned against a locker. "So, when did you and Tristan get together?"
Rory glanced at them and saw Paris watching her intently. "Tristan and I are not together! We aren't friends and we don't even like each other."
Paris glanced across the hall and saw Tristan watching them. When he saw Paris looking at him he blushed and quickly turned around.
"I don't think Tristan feels the same way that you do, Rory" Paris replied.
Rory followed her glance and saw Tristan jerk his head back toward his locker.
Rory shrugged and turned back to her locker. "Yeah, well that's him."
Louise stepped in. "Aren't you and that Dean guy broken up?"
Rory glared at her. "Yeah, so? That has nothing to do with this!"
Louise laughed and headed off. "Yeah, we'll see."
Paris shrugged and turned to leave. "If you're not going out with him on my account, don't bother. I am so over him."
Before Rory could respond at all, Paris grabbed Madeline and hurried off.
Rory sighed and glanced over at Tristan, just as he slammed his locker and turned to face her.
Smiling, he started walking toward his next class.
Rory groaned. "Does he really like me?"
