In This Together

Summary: (Alternate Ending) Caitlin apologizes to Cisco for not believing in him when he knew something wasn't right about her fathers story.

Caitlin knew that she should have listened to Cisco, knowing Cisco as long as she has, whenever he had a hunch that something wasn't right, she should have listened, but she had been so desperate, so in need of wanting to believe that her father was there, that he was standing right in front of her after all these years, but she should have known that something was off.

She had felt instantly guilty after snapping at Cisco, she hated raising her voice at him, he was only trying to help her keep her safe, after everything that she has been through the past couple years, he had tried to do everything in his power to make sure that she was happy, in return she had done the same, except for tonight.

Caitlin sighed as she had finished her conversation with Frost, she felt at home again in her own skin, knowing that Frost was there, that she wasn't going to go away anytime soon, even if for a little bit, she would still be there. If it wasn't for the help of Cisco and Barry, she never would have gotten this close to gaining Frost back and now that she's here, she was finally at peace with herself.

"Hey...how's Frost?.."Caitlin looked up seeing Cisco by the entrance of his workshop, a small smile formed on her lips. "I think..she's happy?, she sounded more at peace..more at home.."Caitlin glanced down at her feet, letting out a sigh.

"Cisco I'm...I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier..you were only trying to protect me..and..I should have listened to you."Caitlin felt Cisco's hands on her shoulders causing her to look up.

"Hey...I would have done the same thing...you were blinded by the fact that your father was alive and you wanted to reconnect with him..and that's okay Caitlin.."Cisco raised his hand and cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing against her eyes to wipe away the dampness that was threatening to fall.

"Caitlin, after everything you've been through. I wanted nothing more than for you to find a piece of happiness..out of everyone on this team, you have suffered so much..I just..I don't want anything bad to happen to you Caitlin..you're my best friend."Caitlin moved to wrap her arms around him, their foreheads pressed together.

"You're my best friend to Cisco..without you..I don't know where I would be right now.."Caitlin sniffled. "Hey now..don't cry.."Cisco whispered, he hated it when Caitlin cried, if she cried than he cried, the two shared a bond like no one else on this team. He would do anything to make her smile.

"I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, not for a long shot..."Cisco murmured. "Why don't we go get some coffee? It would be my treat." Caitlin gave him another smile, Cisco felt his heart swarm at the sight. Her smile always did light up the room.

"Sure...coffee sounds great."Caitlin pulled back and hooked her arm with Cisco as the two of them left the workshop for the evening.
